Personally, no, but... I still think society has not yet accepted female masturbation as "normal" and still might consider it as "taboo". When we think of perverts, what comes to mind is a guy jacking off in front of a computer screen. We don't think of women doing that. It just does not happen. (but it does) Men are more open about their sexual tendencies and its become expected of them to be like that. When a woman does the same as a man, such as exploring their sexuality, they are called a "slut" yet, a man is called a "stud". Which I think it's b.s., women should be able to express themselves sexually however they want to without being judged. Anywho, yes, I think female masturbation is still considered taboo but we are getting closer to getting rid of that way way thinking and sexual liberation. \m/

I think if something is taboo, you wouldn't mention it in conversation. But lots of movies seem to refer to it nowadays, so that helps to make it seem more natural. Most of my girl friends seem quite happy to admit that they masturbate, and to discuss in quite intimate detail how they do it, and what with! I wouldn't discuss it with my Mum, but with my friends, sure!

I believe masturbation, male or female, is first and foremost a healthy part of life. Nobody should feel bad about something that is perfectly normal.

Growing up with a semi-religious and somewhat conservative family we never really talked about anything except what was needed in order for nothing horrible to happen... and none of my friends and I talk about anything. I don't quite know my answer to this question. I mean, I don't mind admitting on here that I masturbate 'cause this is just one of those sites where it's normal but anywhere else..  .

Ok I'll add my two pence to the debate!!
To me it is still taboo...just. Things have definitely become more liberal here in the UK over the past few years and probably the internet and sites like this are a major factor.
Taboo to me doesn't mean wrong, I think it means "not spoken about". Until people open walk down the street with an Ann Summers logo'd bag then to me it's still slightly taboo. We'll say to our friends "God I had a great shag with that bloke/my bf/my hub last night" but we won't say, "God I gave myself a massive orgasm last night!", so surely that means it's still a bit taboo.
Of course we all do it, and why the hell shouldn't we it's an amazingly pleasurable thing to do, but despite the sales success of 50 Shades and myriad vibrators, I don't honestly think we can go out for a drink or meal with friends and mention it.
