What does political affilitation have to do with sex appeal? That's like a man saying musician women are usually liberal Democrats politically. I see a woman with a guitar, I think liberal skank. Total turn off.
It has a lot to do with it!! Everyone knows conservatives are closet sexual freaks!! LOL

While my reasoning is not the same I'm also not into men in uniform.. There is, however, something sexy about watching your/a guy work, something about seeing them so engrossed and hard working is a real turn on. Or just watching a guy get engrossed in anything... He hasn't worn his dress blues in years from the Marine Corp. Doesn't need too. He has an office full of guys that he supervises and when he's in "work" mode... it just sends tingles up my back.

i am a sucker for a man in uniform...they tend to have good posture and walk/carry themselves with confidence. it doesn't hurt when you can clearly discern a strong physique under their clothing...plus all the ones I've met are such gentlemen in public and soooo wickedly aggressive behind closed doors. i love it!

depends on the uniform

It depends on the woman I'd say - - - -
Some associate military uniform with violence, and aggressiveness - -things from movies and news - - - - I can understand their rejection, which is a bit to stereotypical, and it saddens me, to see how some people see us. Forgetting that many soldiers, ( My grandparents included ), wore uniform fighting Germans - - - they were soldiers, and today we go out - - - - Where on peace keeping missions we safe guard the innocent people caught in the middle of war. We don't care about religion, colour or nationality. We only see that THEY need protection.
That is why we joined, that is why we have chosen to put ourselves in to harms way . . . . Then you come home, and hear judging and stupid comments I will not mention here - - - - from people who have absolutely no idea what it means to put on a uniform, and if the need will arise, to pick up a weapon and go . . . . where "they" would never go, but will be happy, that there are those of us, who are willing to go - - - - - ( Let us forget the politics in this post I am making ) - - - - I am talking about soldiers - - - plane and simple ( and all the others, who protect and serve, from fire-fighters, police, medics )- - - - What we see, is beyond any news report. The thing that kills our souls the most, is when you Can't do anything . . . .
You are there but you can't do anything Because of POLITICS - - - and idiotic, orders. There was an incident, where a commander of peacekeeping company did what HAD to be done - - - Saved allot of people, a whole village, which would otherwise be butchered by Serbs in Bosnian conflict - - - He ended up on court martial, because he disobeyed POLITICALLY motivated order - - - - People do not see that. I am a soldier for 12 years now, 5 of them I was in the mechanised infantry, peace making and peace keeping missions, ( been to Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan ) - now I am in the aviation. These things I am talking about here eat your soul.
Uniform is a burden, a responsibility - - - - it is - - - - a world beyond what regular people see on TV - - - and read about in news papers - - - -
On the other hand, it comes down to WHO is wearing a certain uniform. I had women going all mushy cos of my uniform
Anyway - - - - It is very nice, when a woman get's the hots about you cos of your clothes, but in the end, I am just a man, who chose certain thing to do in life, which is not quite an office work, shuffling papers, and I prefer that she would get the hots for me, cos of who I am, not what I am wearing. - - - -
There was another comment I saw, about our attitude in the public ( Being polite, and gentleman like ), and behind closed doors ( Passionately aggressive ). So true, at least in my case - - - - -
Most of us, are like that I'd say - - - regular normal soldiers - - - -
( Let us leave out extremes, which can be found in all profession, and are not based on clothes ).

Don't take it personally. There are exceptions to the rules. You can call me close-minded all you want, but that is my first emotion when I see man in uniform.

I know a UPS man who looks really cute in his uniform, especially when he's wearing shorts. It depends on the guy, not the uniform.

Do I like a man in uniform--other than the military boys--hmmm, I never thought about it...I do like a man in a lab coat!...is that the same thing?...I think I will need to investigate and then I will get back to you. I'm off to the fire station!
I'm back from my investigation...and the answer is ....Yes! I love a man in uniform...and depending on the man, I love him out of it too!

Lord Over, how nice of you to care! From experience, I wouldn't touch a male member of cabin crew with a barge pole.
