Star Wars, I like all of them. Screw all the haters.

Dune- Interesting Film, not as good as the book (but then films generally aren't).

Stargate- started off the longest running Sci-Fi series ever. Very underated film

Longest running sci-fi series ever?

Bladerunner (too bad Phillip K. Dick died before his story was converted to film)
2001 a Space Odyssey (Stanley Kubrick was a genius director on this one)
Avatar (for it beauty, not it's lame SF plot…)

Blade Runner

The Day the Earth Stood Still (the original)

Dune, even with the cheesy graphics. They really don't hold up.

1. The Forbidden Planet (I love Shakespeare.)
2. Logan's Run (The movie was good but the books were better.)
3. The Fantastic Invasion of Planet Earth.

I have got to see the movie "Silent Running". I always love to stray from the beaten path.

Going to go for films with significance:

Star Wars - because I used to watch it over and over with my Dad
Hitch Hiker's Guide - because I love everything about it
Serenity - for giving Firefly the send off that it more than justified / deserved

Serenity - Still such a shame Fox torpedoed Firefly, should have been something great.

I Am Legend - Will Smith as usual delivers an incredible performance that can't be overlooked.

Star Trek (2009) - I am by no means a Trekkie, and I mean no disrespect to the Star Trek franchise, but I think Abrams really knocked it out of the park, bringing forth a Trek film that appealed not just to traditional fans but to audiences everywhere.

2001 - Stanley Kubrick nailed this one (and that silent explosion was just amazing) from a brilliant short story by Arthur C Clarke

Terminator 2 - (well the whole series really, but T2 was the best I think)

Inception - I had some difficulty keeping track of the dream-levels but what a concept!

Oh and since it's not actually a film (yet, though I hope it gets made into one) I feel I can sneak this one in and it's Origin by JT Brannan

2. Alien
3. The Matrix

These are the top three but there are a lot of other ones which I like too: Planet of the Apes, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Robocop, Terminator (I & II), Starship Troopers ... (and the list goes on).

My top 3 favorite sci-fi movies are:

Bladerunner
Alien
Jurassic Park

I truly enjoy many more but those are the 3 best. I liked the 3 original old Star Wars movies. It seems like most of the sci-fi movies in my lifetime rely too heavily on graphics and lack in screenwriting, plot, and acting.

I have written a new poem. It is called 'Long Twisty Woman.'
You can read it at: http://www.lushstories.com/stories/erotic-poems/long-twisty-woman.aspxx
Also, if you wish, check out my co-authored a story with the wonderful DanielleX. It is called 'Focus on Sex.'
