Just in case you hadn't heard, a federal judge has overturned the NFL and the suspensions against Johnathon Vilma, Will Smith, Anthony Hargrove, and Scott Fujita.

Lush League results are up, still 2 Monday night games to go. However, Detroit/St. Louis game isn't registering correctly. Detroit won but anyone who picked Detroit isn't credited with the win and did not receive a point.

I went back and looked at it again later and realized my mistake. I meant to come back and delete that comment but it must have slipped my mind. Oh well, 8-8 isn't too bad to start. Saints and Panthers losing killed me.

Yet somehow, LM, you ended up in first place, along with me and half the league LOL. That was a fun first week, though I'm still very much in baseball mode at this point.

I only had 6 right, pretty pathetic. Didnt realize it was with point spread. Definitely would have taken Cleve to cover spread against Philly. Thats what I get for not reading the rules. Live and learn.

In London, they call soccer "football" and get snotty anytime you refer to the NFL or college football as "football." By embracing London and English people in general, that meant I was embracing their definition of "football."

Maybe the real football gods took it personally. That means I have to renounce London, deny that I ever considered moving there permanently, stop saying things like "one of my biggest regrets is never studying abroad there," and go back to despising British people and making Revolutionary War jokes. Consider it done.

*cracks up laughing again*

I would like to think that most of us understand that there are words that mean different things in different locations. Tolerance is lacking in the world. Most Brits KNOW that when an American says "Football" they are not referring to Soccer. And, any North American, in speaking with a foreigner knows the international name for soccer is football, and I certainly would NOT correct them.

Now .... more importantly ..... Mine and Guille's Eagles won .... but didn't cover the spread, :(

Like I said, the pats did not cover the spread. They are seriously failing in passing the football.

This is awesome!! We all know that soccer is "football" to the rest of the world but then again we are Americans so naturally we are correct!! HAHA

Another great week of prognostication by Nikki!! Well at least the Giants won and the Jets and Cowboys lost!!!
