What has surprised you about Lushstories.com? I enjoy pretty much everything Lush has to offer, by Lush of course I mean the founders and members that make it what it is. It has something for every one. I find lately though I get an enormous giggle in the forums, watching the little skirmishes unfold. Like what's been posted above^^^^^. Sometimes I back away quietly other times I add  . I'd just like to thank Nicola, Gav, the moderators and verifyers for giving me Lush.

That people behind lush take the rules & regulations concerning online adult contents seriously. Sure, us users have the final accountability for our actions, but lush doesn't slack off n their responsibilities to inform us beforehand (and even as i'm writing this) of what we're really getting into when we're on the site.
Makes me think of a properly labeled product, with explicit warnings & no fine prints.
Kudos to Lush.

What has surprised me about Lush is the friendships I have made here. I never expected to go beyond the persona I made when I joined (all true, just with holding certain facts). I intended to remain anonymous, never venturing beyond these "walls". As of last week, I have met 10 lushies IRL, plus have spoken to four or five more on the phone or yahoo voice. A good number know my name, my age and more. Two have been in my home, one staying with me for three weeks. I have also become far from anonymous, talking with many people in the chat rooms and the forums with many people who are not on my friends list.
I was surprised at just how friendly and real many of the members I have met are. And I do love the ease of using the site and the process to verify stories. Both are far better than some other sites I have been on. I credit the vision of Nicola and Gav for that. Mods are accessible and friendly for the most part, and always willing to help. I do love this site!

I agree with Adele, whose post immediately precedes this one. Lush has been a place to make lasting and caring friendships and to feel like an equal to the people I meet.

I was surprised that the people on here are real too. I have had wonderful chats of all kinds... My soldiers and my readers have also become my friends...
It has been eye opening...
The other surprise for me was how much readers contribute to the stories I write or the ones that are requested of me to write...
It has been the most fun I have ever had on a computer...
Thanks to all the wonderful people on here... Y'all know who ya are!!

I have found a lot of very accepting persons, though there have been a few who just don't get it. Most all the authors are friendly and great to talk with. There are several that have been more then accommodating. I hope to one day remember those lessons from creative writing class back in the stone age so that maybe I to can contribute to the wealth of this site. Yes comments given are contributing, but to have ones story published is more so.
As many have said, thank you to those that created and run this site. You have rekindled a flame that was going out due to not finding IRW.
I wish I could get to know special friends outside, but for me, my persona is in the fantasy world for near term.
Again Lush, thank you for play space and new friends............
nothing beats a luscious kiss from well painted lips ;) mmmmmmmmm...........

The camaraderie I've experienced. Lush is like a happy little gated community in comparison to these other social networks. And I like how it's not JUST about the sex, but there are people here worth knowing. It makes me really proud to be apart of something like this. I also enjoy the healthy debates every once in a while.

I'm surprised by how much more open-minded I've become, and how 'bonded' I feel to this great site. I've experienced for myself, and indeed watched others experience, the emotional highs and lows from relationships born here, but now I sit content with both the friends I have made through Lush and indeed the more limited time I now have to spend here since returning to work. Getting a limpet off a rock would be easier than persuading me to leave!

I've barely been here a week and have been delighted at how nice people are and not seeing any trolls. I was on another site and it wasn't as user friendly or as people friendly as Lush is. It was completely free which might make a bit of difference. I'm enjoying this immensely.
