It was causing a few issues, and was a little too old school for lush  so we're going to remove it. You can see if you have messages easily in the header, regardless.

Why??? I can see making them bigger, but not removing them! That's lame! They're helpful I think.

Please reconsider this...the little black flash boxes serve a useful purpose for short chat sessions and alerts when someone logs on.

I think she's talking about the annoying little box that pops up when you first log in that says "You have unread messages in your inbox." Mama Nic wouldn't take away our black boxes.. . . I think. .. . it's way too much fun to say black-box

Is it really that difficult to either scroll up to the top of the screen or just look in that general direction to see if you have any messages? I'm sure most of the people here have eyes that function to a certain degree...
