It's gone now. ETA: It's back again but from a different friend.

The handy dandy new Confirmation of friend added seems to send out two messages saying the same thing Warning: The opinions above are those of an anonymous individual on the internet. They are opinions, unless they're facts. They may be ill-informed, out of touch with reality or just plain stupid. They may contain traces of irony. If reading these opinions causes you to be become outraged or you start displaying the symptoms of outrage, stop reading them immediately. If symptoms persist, consult a psychiatrist. Why not read some stories instead

I need to forward a sent message to somebody, but when I hit the Forward button, it takes me to a blank form. Is this a bug, or am I meant to copy and paste the message into a new one?

The "To" field should be blank, the subject line the same, with FW: at the front, and the body message should be there, with a line break above it: ================================ If that's not happening, please send a message to Gav via the Help link up top, letting him know what browser you are using I don't know if that feature works on smart phones, are you trying to forward messages using one of those or your laptop?

I really like the feature that sends us a message when someone accepts a friend request, but there's an issue. The link to the person's wall goes to a different profile. If the person's name is "whatever" the link will go to someone whose Profile name is "whatever". When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser. Socrates

I am, indeed using my Shiny. The whole form was blank, including the text body. Gav said I had to stop sending him mail after he had to pay the extra postage on the unasked-for industrial-sized pair of used knickers I sent him in the last PM. Still, until he blocks me, I guess one more wouldn't hurt...

Can you message Gav with the details please.

Trying to forward a sent message has always opened a blank message field for me, even when using my desktop computer. I shall inform Gav of the specifics. Which browser & operating system are you utilizing? Looks like you could use a dose of Interferon, Mister.

Browser is Google Chrome. I've have three anti-virus programs, none have picked up anything. And I only get these types of warnings on Lush, no other sites. But if you have any recommendations for virus/spyware/malware programs I'm all ears, eyes. Interferon.. funny. As a baby/toddler I had several doses interferon during the 30+ surgeries I had on my throat for internal growths that blocked my airway. Fun times. Yes, I have had this problem as well. First letter correct, but then just directed to a randomly selected name! lafayettemister wrote:Just a few minutes ago when I clicked on a profile, this is what came up..... I've found this on numerous occasions. I believe it is as a result of a 'bad' posting on the profile you wish to visit. Just message your friend to let them know. They may know which posting is the suspect. If you could, would you? Satan

Frank is correct. Google see's a link to a known malware site and reports this error. If you need this removed, send me a message.

I deleted a blog entry, because the pic I hotlinked broke bad on me and turned into a little square. However, if you view my page as a guest or as another Lushie it still shows up, as someone was kind enough to point out. Also, I received a comment on a pic, which I can see in his activity feed, but when I click on it I get a 404 error. This seems to happen randomly. I was logged in there when I tried to see the pic/comment. http://www.lushstories.com/curlygirlywolverine/images/76367#comments Ok, I'm gonna quit my bitchin now. Thanks, Gav!
If you haven't, you should read this award-winning story. Fine, fine, I only won a potato, but I'm sure you won't be able to peel your eyes away from it.

What's the deal with the forum search feature? I keep getting a database error when I try to use it. I've tried it at least 5 times yesterday and today.

This site has become almost unusable for me with my iPad 1, iOS 6.0 is not an option for any iPad 1 user. Is this goodbye for me? When I push "post" I will be crashed and gone. From all the problems I hear now, lush v1 was heaven...never a problem. I don't want to leave! http://www.lushstories.com/stories/incest/the-mistress-leta-plot.aspx

I noticed that as well, the only way around it , I've found, is not to search the entire forum, pick a particular area, such as "the pub" and then it works. Trouble is though, if you can't remember what area you need to be searching, you are a bit stuffed really.

If you search anything other than a single forum, the search may crash, depending on what time of day you're searching.
The reason being, there are up to 20K members on at any time, and lots of people are doing searches.
With almost 1 million forum posts, that's a LOT of data for our couple of servers to deal with. Adding several more servers would solve the problem, but costs are prohibitive.
I've asked to have it changed so you can only search specific forums, that will do away with the problem, but mean if you don't know where you're meant to be looking for something, it will be rather time consuming.
Sorry, that's the way it is at the moment. We're working on solutions to make things smoother.

I have been noticing an issue with the chat window function recently. I will type something in and it can take a while to go through, if it goes through at all. Then it will show up the same message, two or even three times.

I'm still unable to send private message/black box from someone's profile. If I click on the "Send an online message" link, type a message an hit "Enter" or click "Reply", the message just stays there. Nothing happens. I have to go to my list of friends, scroll down until I find them, then hover over their name and use the drop down menu to send a box. Hitting "Enter" just moves the cursor down a line within the box. When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser. Socrates

I think it has something to do with the "hit " area of the button LM, "enter" DOES NOT WORK i agree, and if you hit the button random, it does not either, try putting the cursor right on the word "send" the second time, that's been working for me.
