Not to be a total party poop, but could we at least make sure that most or at least a couple of the fonts we have available will be readable with the backgrounds? Just wanna be able to read the chat. But love the idea Can we go for some more tranquil pictures as well? Like a lake or forest or outer space or whatever? Just so we can get some "peaceful" enviroments as well.

Any chance it could be a scrolling background (a lovely CSS challenge there!) - could actually make a pic sharing room you can actually chat in - rather the somewhat disjointed ones that (for some baffling reason) people keep setting up Warning: The opinions above are those of an anonymous individual on the internet. Just to say I created a room with the club theme yesterday and thought it was absolutely fantastic so this is simply a quick post to say a very big well done.

personally, I find the themes very distracting, especially if they are used in a pictorial room. I don't like them at all, and find them not at all sexy. I love though, the addition of music. THAT is sexy and cool.

The themed rooms look great; I've been in a couple of them. But, for me, the are not good. Just a couple of hours ago, I was telling a friend who invited me to her room that I had much difficulty seeing and reading the script because of lack of contrast between the background and the verbiage; most pictures were OK for me. Yes, my vision is not the best.

Hi, I have a suggestion; how about something on the Arabian Nights theme? Don't know if that is possible.

For people having trouble reading the text in backgrounded rooms a tip is to highlight the text. I found some more interesting themes last night: Captains Log: Diving expedition:

Do we need more images for the backgrounds, or are there enough / everyone happy as it is?
Personally, I'd prefer say 10 background choices, and everyone's font colour and style would be set, by default, to suit each room.

Would it be possible to put on a button which will allow us to turn off the background to a default white background and the black writing? Just in case you enter a room and the background makes your eyes bleed...

Would like that feature too elit, not for me particularly but for the people who are colour blind. They're probably missing a lot of wonderful things said to them. I think We have enough of bg's as it is right now. Still fun to post possible additions. Maybe some day one'll run across one that is screaming "must have!" to all of us.

Yo, Player -- Where'd you jet off too, my man. I was just getting into your entire fantasy story series as well as your monumental narcissistic myth. I feel we could've hung out - wingman style. Everyone that visited theplayers club commented on how spectacular it was so in that regard, the party was a huge hit.
The only thing missing were the drinks, ashtrays, and jukebox! Oh, and a few men. 99.9% on my friends list are of the fairer sex.
Here's a couple others that some might like.
These would have been more appropriate, as it sadly turns out. I did swing by your happening chatroom once... Hey, he did inspire our chat backgrounds! I kind of like the look of some of those bars The first one would cheer me right up, on any occasion!

I second that...all of the above...I've been to the player's chat room, but admit I had a bit of a problem actually following what was going on...not real sexy in my book...

I found the player's background totally impossible to read. Turning off the background has to be a reader option. Also the backgrounds chosen need to be much more monochromatic in general. The high contrast light/dark background means that there is no text color that is readable.

I'm not a big fan of the backgrounds. It's hard on the eyes and forces to many people to use the same color fonts which makes it hard to tell who is who when the room is full and busy with a lot of chatter. Thankfully I haven't seen many use this feature. It's a cool idea just not doable for me.
