Nicki follows up her impressive title, "December Snow", with a short story about a wealthy business owner, who's lost his way a bit in life and love.

This is a story in which the 2 main characters, couldn't be more contrasting. Nathan, handsome and successful, has always taken what he wants in life. Angelléna is a seemingly innocent young lady, with everything to offer, and so much to give. When their worlds collide, sparks fly!

Club Devereaux Synopsis

What happens to a person when wealth and opulence no longer glitters like it once did? They become like Nathan.

A man worth billions, Nathan is part owner in the prestigious Club Devereaux. A man of few foibles, he's long since given up the hope of ever finding that elusive spark that can once again reignite his soul. That is; until the night he sees her - Angelléna… as angelic as her name and full of innocence though by no means innocent.

In that instant he knows he must have her and will spend his entire fortune to make it so. He wants her more than he has any logical right too, and has some crazy notion that forever is all he will take. But his hopes are dashed as after that same night, she disappears out of his life and he’s left feeling as pessimistic as ever and a fool too boot.

Months pass and Nathan finally gets a handle on his tattered emotions, only to have them stirred up again by the ethereal girl that tore them to shreds in the first place. Why should he give her another shot at sending him crazy? But he just can’t help it; he needs to know why she ran. And in his deepest of hearts, Nathan still wants forever.

Maybe this time he'll find it?

Congratulations Nicki! I hope Club Devereaux will be huge success. It's great to see another promising addition to the Lush catalogue.

Thank you all Embarassed its all very overwhelming and super exciting!! :) cheers

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Congratulations.

Tom's Notebook, or The Misadventures of an Unrepentant Souse, soon to be a major motion picture - well, a minor still-life drawing - penned by the trembling hand that conjured up such overtures to love-that-dare-not-stick-its-finger-down-its-throat, (for fear of what unspeakable horrors, from what unnamable levels of fresh hell, might conceivably become uncovered, and unwittingly dredged up), as The Extrapolated Scarlet Garment, Columbine in Fifth Street Traffic, and that Elmer Fudd inspired classic, Dwive, ("My wuv is wike a wed, wed, wose...") (pause for intermission, cigarettes, and the chance to catch one's breath), - is now perched like a flasher with a major grin pinned to his face, and a minor in French literature, upon Oberon's invitingly admission-fee-suspended, pimped and tarted profile page, for your perusal, and - although it's highly doubtful - your enjoyment.
