The best way around this storm is to make a private album and upload pictures into that - or just into your image gallery and hide it. Once uploaded, click on the picture to bring it up and then right click and copy image location and then paste into the comment box. Easy :D

LOL and pretty much everyone knows i'm kind of clueless *giggles* not laughing at you, btw, just kind of tickled. the girl wants to know if your an engineer (not really sure what trains have to do with this) anyways, she's betting on 'yes' being the answer. oh, totally off topic, but your actual poetry under the shortest poem thread is AMAZING! ok, enough of this, going to go bother Gav about those changes i ordered again - really, it's just cosmetic and he DID say it wouldn't take more than a few weeks to put them into place - he can be SUCH a slacker at times! btw, are you driving Nicola to drink on purpose or is that just a fun by product, cause it's kind of fun to watch! No, if nicola ends up in rehab because of me it will have been purely unintentional. As the screenshot I posted above shows, there's no "yellow mountain" UPLOAD PIC icon showing in my browser on my Friends' pages' Comment sections. It's really slow and cumbersome to have to open up a forum thread, hit 'Reply', upload a pic to get the Lush URL, copy, go back to the Friend's profile, and paste.

Paste the URL of the image location and it automatically appears. Amazing, technology, isn't it?

Okay, hold the fucking phone. Someone isn't understanding me, and snarky comments about my level of geekiness are not appreciated. The whole point of the "UPLOAD pic" button, which looks like , is to not have to PASTE anything, especially when acquiring the URL to paste entails all the steps listed in my last post. That's just ridiculous. On my Friends' profile pages... down at the place where you leave a comment... I'm not seeing anywhere. See? No . I see , but all that does is add the IMG tag around a URL. , but no . Adding to the place on your Friends' profiles where you leave a comment is the feature I would like to see added. Am I being clear enough this time??

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!! It is the same concept! The profile area only offers the GREY button. It is easy and simple to understand if you KNOW what you are DOING!!

The yellow landscape button is to upload an image to our server. The white landscape button is to insert an image URL that may or may not be hosted elsewhere.
I do not like your tone stormblue, either moderate your language in here or find entertainment elsewhere on the web.

I really don't see the problem. 1. Paste URL into comment box: 2. Photo appears in comments: No convoluted 10-step procedure is necessary. It's really quite straightforward. Maggie Rascal(Please note, I am no longer active on Lush and will not be responding to messages or friend requests.)

It is SO easy! Where is the big, red "easy" button when you need it?

Posting an image to someone's comments section isn't something we pay that much attention to, seeing we're a stories site.
However, it would be an idea if we had the ability to upload images to our server using the yellow button, in both the comments area, plus in the private messaging setup.
Something good has come of this at least, despite the friction.

I'd like to see Lush investigate this. It would look excellent on your resume', Gav...and whoa, can you imagine... "Ladies and Gents, any slow webpages served to you - please call your ISP and do not dis LushStories.com. We're cooking with gas now. Upgrade your pc and/or ISP"

Gav is way ahead of that, he's like Tron, he's now actually living in the cloud.

Not sure if I should be posting this here, or just sending it as a message to Gav or Pixie... But...been having problems for a long time when doing forum searches...whenever I do a search for a topic under "All forums" I get a pop-up error message that says... "An error occurred in the database" If I narrow my search down to just, say, "The Pub" I have no problem... The thing is, I don't always know where a topic originally posted...it could be The Pub, it might be The Lounge... Well, you get the idea... So...could we have an improved forum search thingy? Thanks...

I get that all the time Alan. It's particularly bad when we have thousands of people on at any one time.
I believe it will naturally get fixed when the new data server is in operation (I hope so at least).

I still think a beer tap stemming from my lush home page would be awesome, along with a cigarette smoke filtration system.

scooter wrote:I still think a beer tap stemming from my lush home page would be awesome, along with a cigarette smoke filtration system. Now you're just being particular. Do like I recently did and turn your beer cooler with tap, into your computer case to house your motherboard and cpu. Just add a pony keg, it fits just under the video graphics card, side mounted. I liquid cool my cpu and enjoy a few cold ones. It works well, about the time I'm ready to turn off the pc for the night, I'm good & crocked, have already transformed the coolant into waste water and shouldn't be typing drunk on the internets anyway. I use my cat for my smoke filtration system. Do not ask how.

Voice/Cam Capabilities in the private window chat, instead of having to use another messenger would be awesome! I'm sure this idea what thrown around many many times before.
