Way to go Ashleigh!
That definitely needs recognition of some kind.
The stories shouldn't go back in the queue for tag editing Alan.

First off, as Doll pointed out, she didn't borrow my tiara - she ripped it from my head (as well as a hunk of hair!) while cackling maniacally second of all, on behalf of girls who are both hot looking and can write hot stories, a frying pan to the head of Mr Martini :) thirdly, i agree - some sort of special recognition should go out to those who hit 100,000 views. I think Doll should be given the title of 'Personal Bimbo to Her Royal Spriteness'. :) ok, in all honesty, congrats, Ash. You got those views for a reason - your wit, your intelligence, your talent, and your sexiness. And, for anyone not lucky enough to get to know the girl behind the name, she's one of the sweetest woman i know here and i am humbled by her friendship. ok, Doll - i gave you a glowing endorsement... can i get those nude photos back now? Maybe it should be mandatory to write a message when requesting friendship. You click "Ask to become a friend", you're taken to the message writing screen, you write a little something that explains why and then you send the request. I'm sure most of the people hate random friend requests. Not me... I was requested once in 10 months, and I promptly accepted. Wait.. twice!
The way things work right now, either you just empty-request someone, or you have to send a private message separately, and in some cases, I assume some people get a lot of messages and requests, and at some point, the two become dissociated. By combining requesting and messaging, it makes it easier for people to sort out those who just add people randomly, or because they have a hot avatar.

Assfucker - if you'd read through the forums, you'll see there are frequent mentions about our servers being in the process of being upgraded. It was a 3 month job, full time, to fix it up. We have a part-time programmer who can allocate a few hours per day of his own time, voluntarily, to do this for us.
The good news is, it's almost at beta testing stage, so bear with us.

ive seen a lot of new people that ask the same questions that already have been asked, and i know this is not good for the site. So how about if you havent post any new topis on Lush, for the first 2 you want to start, the system takes you to the search part of the site and says you have to look first if its already been ask before you can post?

The ability to scroll through the black boxes would be incredibly helpful rather than them moving with you as you scroll down the screen. That way you don't have to close anything to see what else is appearing, or miss any chat requests. Also, a noise to indicate a chat request? It's possible that there already is an option for this, and I've missed it, but I regularly miss chat requests when I'm doing other things.

Hey Nicola,
I'd love to see an iPhone application (or all types of phone applications) and simplified browsing for telephone. Its easy to use currently but I get lazy about navigating from my phone. Could be an income generator if you charged a small fee for the app to eliminate the "colorful ads" for those whe read from their phones or in public.

This is something relatively minor, but I think would help negate the complaints about word games dominating the Latest Posts list. I notice that as of right now, when I go into one of the subsections, such as Site Related or Personal/Relationships the Latest Posts list is there too, and still shows the last 5 posts for the entire site. Would it be possible to have that filtered so that it only shows the latest 5 posts for whichever subsection you are in? That way if I only really care about what happens in General I can see what is being discussed, even if the last 5 were in the same forum. Currently only one of those threads would show up under Last Post, for say, The Think Tank.

Now i'm not going to lie I MAY have skipped a couple of pages before I decided to post on here... something about reading 500 posts seemed boring, maybe it's just me? Anyway, Recently It's come to my attention that some of my friends use the "Blog" area To post information that can be time sensitive. Which is cool and all until you realize that it was time sensitive from a month or two ago. I think it would be cool to see a time stamp of some sort on the blog entry's Cam

It's in the planning stages right now, and will be mobile platform independent. Phase 1 will be pretty much "read only" with stories being the focus. Phase 2 will include all the bells and whistles the rest of the site has. Not planning to have any ads on the mobile version at this stage. I am hoping it will be completed in the next 3 or 4 months.

Maybe it's been mentioned before but I would like to see a How to/ tips and tricks section in the forums. I know you have the FAQ but there are still some questions I have not seen in there. I'm not looking for anything fancy just something to help the computer illiterate people like myself.
Examples: How to quote someone. (took me about 2 months to figure that button out) How to quote a sentence that someone says and not the whole text. (still don't know how) How to post a link. How to use the search function. (for those pesky people who ask the same questions over and over) How to embed the youtube link without having to type the whole text. How to exit the chat rooms without signing out of your account. (apparently the back button on the browser doesn't log you out of the chat room)
I can see that some of these are stupid questions but it would be nice to have an area where we can refer to if we are unsure of how to do something without having to send a message to someone to ask how. I'm sure there are more from others too. Just a suggestion. Thanks

I like KornPopper's suggestions. ditto to those. the only other thing I can think of adding is 'scratch and sniff.'

I've been requesting this feature for months, Buz. I think Gav has enlisted a chemist buddy of his to assist. Maybe 3rd quarter 2012.

I personally think that if someone has a blatantly advertising "name" on here like: deb40d, or lauren32d, or whatever... they should be REQUIRED to post pics of given measurements! ...actually, i think lauren did. GOOD GIRL! way to set the standard!

When I look at the profile of a friend, I see a link to "Notepad". This has turned out to be VERY useful, as I can leave notes about what the friend does and does not like, and info that they share with me. This is a great way to remind myself of who they are and what we last talked about. My suggestions: Have the Notepad link show in a different color if there is something saved. Give me a button that will show a table of all friends for whom I have saved something in their Notepad, and the contents, so I can immediately go to the profile of the person who told me X, or with whom I discussed Y.
And one other thing. When I find awesome animated gifs (or static pics) on the internet, I often save them to my hard drive. But if I want to embed one of them in a comment or email, I can't use the copy I have. I have to go out and find the internet address of the original. Very frustrating. I would like to embed my own locally saved pics/gifs in comments.

This is probably beyond the capabilities of the servers or may take a lot of work for something that's unnecessary at the moment but I love customization. I wish there was more I could do with my profile besides just background color. Its a lot to dream about but if anyone has a YouTube account you know what it's like. The ability to rearrange the Boxes, change text colors, save presets, change the opacity of the different boxes would be cool to be able to really customize our own pages but being as this is a story site. It's not really needed but every time I log in deep down in my heart I secretly wish it. :p

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I believe that was part of the reason myspace tanked Garza.
You ended up going to someone's page and would be hit by autoplaying tracks, a blizzard of colour and animations, and get a headache.
It is also one of the reasons Facebook looks like it was designed by papa smurf, it's clean, easy on the eye, and functional. We are taking the latter approach too. I wasn't initially keen on even having the profile page backgrounds customisable, but I think they sexy up the place a lot.
