• A word count displayed on each story, maybe up near the tags, so I could decide at a glance if I had time right then to read the story; and • A "save for later" option to keep a list of marked stories in a private queue in my account.
As a writer, I would appreciate the following:
• A field on the story submission page for a note to the story verifiers, something along the lines of, "I used the misspelling 'waistland' intentionally for humorous effect. Please do not correct it." I would still really appreciate the aforementioned items. Sprite isn't they're something along the lines of [sic.] for that? not sic but something else that shows it was intentional?

Yes, [sic] is the editing notation, but a lot of people have no idea what it means (the word quoted is written exactly as it was written, or spoken, instead of correcting the error). M1, great additions. Gav is looking into video / voice chat options. At the moment, he's working on an uploader for member videos, amongst other things

When I look at the profile of a friend, I see a link to "Notepad". This has turned out to be VERY useful, as I can leave notes about what the friend does and does not like, and info that they share with me. This is a great way to remind myself of who they are and what we last talked about. My suggestions: Have the Notepad link show in a different color if there is something saved. Give me a button that will show a table of all friends for whom I have saved something in their Notepad, and the contents, so I can immediately go to the profile of the person who told me X, or with whom I discussed Y. And one other thing. When I find awesome animated gifs (or static pics) on the internet, I often save them to my hard drive. But if I want to embed one of them in a comment or email, I can't use the copy I have. I have to go out and find the internet address of the original. Very frustrating. I would like to embed my own locally saved pics/gifs in comments. Infinite Love IS the Only Truth...Everything else IS Illusion!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could open chat windows even when someone is invisible?
Most of my friends prefer the chat windows to online messages and when one of us has to come 'online' so it can be opened, the purpose of being invisible is killed.

The problem with linking to images on the web, is that a) you are hotlinking, which webmasters don't like usually (bandwidth theft) b) they can pull down / move / block their images from being used on external sites and you're left with dead images / placeholders all over our site.

Please please please can we have a 'search' option in our mail box? I have spent way too many hours hunting through my obscene amount of messages to try and find that one message I'm looking for on many, many occasions. I do believe it may well make my lush life if this was implemented at some point

At the top and bottom of the thread it should say "X Pages: 1 2 ... X-1 [X]" where the numbers are clickable links and the one in square brackets is the page you're on.
I just checked this out myself and this is still the case if you go via Active Topics. If it's not working for you then it would seem it's a problem with your own account and someone in tech should have a look.
Well, I'll be damned..its working. I was not having a senior moment. It would not work before..but hey, its all good now...for what ever reason...thanks..

Sounds like me...I just looked, I have 135 pages in my inbox... Anyway, this might be an odd thought...and perhaps I should put the pipe down, but any way to do something along the lines of a "Forum thread of the week" or of the day...maybe based on some popularity thingy or something... Or, do you think just the latest forum activity feed thing along the bottom is enough? Just seems some threads get to be more, um, "interesting" than others...just thinking here...

You can go offline right after you've gotten it up, so I don't really see what the problem with it would be. It's more of a "woops I opened lushstories.com instead of lunch.com" situation for people seeing you pop online just to be offline again.

Dont know if this has been said before, but how about a search option for the mails, today i was looking for one that was send to me a while ago and it was a pain in the ass, maybe a search by the name of the person that send it to you, that would be more than enough for me :)

I think it might be beneficial for us readers to know when an author has requested/required a comment to be given with a score before we give our feedback. I can't tell you how many comments I've written then I go up to score the story and the author has asked for a comment. I know, I know ... just remember to vote first, right? I'd love to have my brain work that way, but I'm usually too flustered after reading a story to remember something so trivial.

Could we please have a Lush Loyal button like crazydiamond's amazing Lush Pussy (oh dear, that sounds so naughty!) and Lush Button? It's to be superimposed or fakey-watermarked onto the stories in some way so anybody scraping the site, or whatever it is they do only get messages like "LOYAL TO LUSH" when they try to nick the stories, or they see the Lush Pussy, or something.
Impractical, yes, but I would really love one, please. And I have been a very good girl this year, so Santa, if you are reading, you know what to do!
