Even I think that's wrong. Must be a publicity stunt no? http://au.totaltravel.yahoo.com/travel-ideas/a/-/11503766/ryanair-getting-cheap-nasty/?src=y7homepageWhat happens if kids are walking around the cabin? I don't believe for one minute this will ever "take off."

Does this censorship of in-flight material include graphic violence and other possible controversial scenes and if so who is the governing body? Could it be the same authority who is supposed to control the kids walking around the cabin?

I'm not all that comfortable next to strangers on flights at the best of times. Add porn into the mix and that's a whole different level of discomfort. I can't see it taking off, but if it does I'll be flying the non-porn airlines!

I find it interesting that they would give people handheld devices to watch porn on the flight. In that case I am sure that kids walking up and down the aisles wouldn't see it. Living in Canada I do not know much about Ryanair and did a little looking around at customer reviews, this one I found pretty interesting. Quote:"I would strongly advise that people pay more and fly with another company, as paying more may seem harsh at the time, but believe me the cost in the long run of travelling with Ryanair will work out more expensive than paying more to start off with. We were due to fly home from Malaga to Prestwick at 9.30 at night, our gate was called and after standing there for over an hour the gate was changed to another, it was now 1 hour over our flying time. We all moved to the new gate and were left there for another hour before we were told our flight was cancelled. We were given 2 options, either stay in the Airport untill the following night and be flown home then, or aboard a bus for a three hour journry to Seville where they would fly us home. There were people who had to attend work the next day and had no option but to bus it to Seville and fly home, which meant we were up all night and straight of a plane to head for work. What appauled me more than anything was the fact that when we boarded the flight in Seville after the gruelling bus journey, they did not even offer a free snack and drink on the flight but took everyones money as normal. There were passengers with babies and children who having been finished their holiday had no money left. This company are SCUM!!!, I can only describe them as MONEY GRABBING SCUM! If they can make one more penny, trust me they will. The number of passengers I saw having to open their luggage and pull items out was beyond belief. Do not travel with them that is my advice. It was my first time and will be my last!!!"
Don't think I will be flying with these guys when I make my way to Europe!

But there is a difference. No one will watch a violent movie and have physiological urges to go out and beat someone with a baseball bat. Or look to the person sitting next to them and punch them in the mouth. Violence, unless in self-defense, is illegal, immoral, and unnecessary. Porn on the other hand will cause a physioligical change in a person. Sex is good. Sex with someone else is even better. So now, the viewer on the plane looks at the person sitting next to him and feeling emboldened, i.e. horny may begin to flirt. It may be a nuisance to the innocent neighbor but it isn't illegal. So it's not exactly apples to apples. But for me.. porn on a plane is different than porn in a hotel room. In my private hotel room and can lay back with my legs spread open and have a wankfest. On a plane, the line for the restroom may get long. Imagine the guys in there wanking all over the place! Lol, or waiting for their hardon to go down so they can pee. I doubt this will ever fly. I guess each passenger could always be given a personal viewing apparatus? You don't think this would give it away do you?

Depending on who is sitting next to you watching porn, some may have the same reaction as this girl!

A Blue Angel pilot once said to eat a banana before going up with him. Laughing he said that it tastes the same coming up as it did going down. I've know a lot of Marine pilots.

On a RyanAir flight I MIGHT watch porn movies BUT ONLY if they starred the flight attendants serving on that particular flight......
(Actually, I'd kind of like that.......)

Not exactly arousing... I had the exact same thought when I first this thread.

What a great idea! They should have porn at restaurants, buses, the subway, sporting events and the DMV too!

I know right? I can make my lady friend's biscuits and country gravy extra special with my own personal touch, just like she likes it.

How about porn on the big screen TV scoreboards at football and baseball games? Big screen porn might even save the hapless NBA.

I remember, my first time ever on an airplane. I was going with my Grandma to New Mexico, she sat by the window, then me, then this guy who took up the empty seat besides us. He was looking at porn on his Tablet! He was hiding his screen from the people walking down the aisle by tilting it towards my grandma and I. Needless to say, that was an uncomfortable flight, I spent it looking out the window.

On Flights, Porn Should Stay In The Cock Pit Where It Has Always Been!!
WOMAN PILOT WINS SUIT OVER COCKPIT PORN.
Associated Press (AP)
A federal jury ordered Continental Airlines to pay $875,000 to a woman pilot who was offended by her male colleagues' practice of leaving dirty pictures around the cockpit.
The jury of five women and two men ruled that the photos constituted sexual harassment sexual harassment, in law, verbal or physical behavior of a sexual nature, aimed at a particular person or group of people, especially in the workplace or in academic or other institutional settings, that is actionable, as in tort or under equal-opportunity statutes. because they created a hostile work environment A hostile work environment exists when an employee experiences workplace harassment and fears going to work because of the offensive, intimidating, or oppressive atmosphere generated by the harasser. .
The jury declined to make the Houston-based airline pay punitive damagesMonetary compensation awarded to an injured party that goes beyond that which is necessary to compensate the individual for losses and that is intended to punish the wrongdoer. and found that Continental had not retaliated or sexually discriminated against Capt. I'm not disappointed,'' said Blakey, 38, of Arlington, Wash. ``The money wasn't as important as the message.''

Meh. If porn is to be shown on planes, there should be a private room for it. And there should be some kind of surveillance, to make sure anyone under 18 isn't allowed.
I don't see the big deal about porn. Sure, it's degrading for women and such, but it's a form of pleasure to some people, just like reading or running is a form of pleasure to me, so why not let them enjoy? As long as they don't go around perving on people or showing the stuff to kids, I don't see the big deal.
