I'm really sorry, I know this has come up before, but I'm confused about where to post this now.

I don't want to be so arrogant as to think somebody has nicked my work, but... somebody might have nicked my work. Maybe. I think. And I'm not sure what to do about it if they have.

I thought it would be funny to see if anybody had nicked it by pasting part of it into the search engine, and it appears they might have. If they haven't I just look stupiderer now. But if they have...

I Googled the first part of one of my stories, and came up with this (sorry, can't do a screen shot on this computer):

It appears that unless 9Erotica is Lush in a different format or something, I am apparently posting elsewhere, including sexsstory.com and celebrity4u (which has an inactive link if I click it).

I can't find the story itself on sexsstory.com, although it has it in the Google search, but I did find all my stories on the 9Erotica one. I tried clicking on the Shylass name, but it just brings up all my stories. http://9erotica.com/stories/author/Shylass


Please tell me I'm just being daft and these sites are all affiliated to Lush, or does somebody really think I'm good enough to nick from?

It must be horribly frustrating for you, lass! On the other hand, it shows they must be very crap if they have to nick stuff from elsewhere.

When I choose a site, I stay loyal to it unless I'm given good reason not to, so if I can help, please let me know.

I am not holding my breath. This was his justification for stealing the stories in the first place:

We understand the annoyance the app was causing among the users, but the app was using the content of lushstories just to recover the production costs of the app.

It looks like they've just cloned the whole of lush, can they really get away with this? This kinda shite just pisses me off, I and others have put in a lot of work for some bastard just to claim it for their own. Not fair. Sorry for the swearing, I'm just feeling really annoyed.

Also it's affiliated Android app is available in the market and may or may not feature our work as I have not found mine in the app portion. (It is however on that site)

So now I am looking for information to contact the fine creators of Android so that I can submit a complaint. Any help would be appreciated.

They have 12 of my stories, all posted on the exact same date they were each published on Lush.

Ok, I'm not one of the better writers here, but I chose to share a part of me... my private thoughts and fantasies, with the Lush community. I chose this site because of the wonderful people I've connected with, and its attempt to keep a certain set of standards. It pisses me off knowing that some of us are now associated with a site completely lacking in integrity. Nic, If there is anything I can do please let me know. I'm willing to give some of my time to help with this.

Filing a DCMA notice on google is a good way to get them expelled from the google returns: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/dmca-notice?pli=1& - you need to have a address or set one up. If a couple of authors go through the trouble of filling out a report, google will pay attention quickly. You need the URL of the story here, and on that site.

I will write to his hosting company and registrar this morning, see if I can have their site taken down.

They are auto-scraping our site on a daily basis as DD says. I don't think there's any way for Gav to stop them doing that.

Piggy-backing off all the hard work both you guys as authors do, as well as the admin staff here, is really not on.

I read this on another board. One way to help prevent this kind of thing, is to put an author's note at the top (or bottom) of your story.

If you put it at the top though, it would appear in the story snippet on the front page.

Something like:

This story is Copyright *Author's Name*, all rights reserved. If found posted anywhere other than Lushstories.com with this note attached, it has been posted without my permission.

They are stealing from a number of sites, with no credit given to any of our authors.

It seems the more difficult to find stories, like crossdressing stories, are almost totally from lush.

I'll try and have their app removed from the android library too.

Tried to file a complaint, but the Google page keeps giving me, "Please enter a valid value." They don't want to hear about these things.
