We have decided to disallow image postings that are supposedly of people's EX's.

How do we know they have given their permission for you to post images of them naked?

Millions and millions of people visit lush each month, someone is bound to see the pics sooner or later, and where does that then leave us?

There are important privacy issues at play here, and we take that very seriously.

All image posts of this nature will be deleted. The same goes for your profile area. Remember, profiles are publicly viewable.

I really applaud your decision to do this Nicola!

This is very respectful and the best for the site!

I totally agree but how can you prove that these people are or aren't professional models/porn stars who have given their permission for their pics to be viewed/shared?

Chances are more of them haven't given their permission than have given their permission....better to be safe than sorry.

A few guys I've dated/... have photos of me I certainly wouldn't want ended up in their Lush gallery! I wouldn't even put them up in my own!

Good move here by Lush I feel...

I've went for the next best thing then... they share alot of the same qualities my ex did...

Big ears that only listened to what he wanted to... Big mouth that never shut up... and he acted like an ass

Does this work?

OK, let me get this right. You have chosen to disallow the posting of pictures that are labeled ex's yet you allow the posting of images that are clearly copyrighted and who's owner deserves to be paid for it's use. Interesting concept but rather hypocritical. Who is to say the picture is actually that of an ex anything whereas the picture of the movie star, porn star is known to actually be them. I would love to hear the reasoning behind this one.

So, are you paying Ms Gellar for use of her image as your avatar? Just a thought...

I've noticed a few people have used images from so called "ex-girlfriend revenge" websites to pass off as them on the site. As theses images have probably been scalped from myspace or facebook should we be pushing to remove these too?

Johnny,
In looking over the enormous variety of beautiful images you post, you obviously do not discriminate enough to have friends.

Perhaps it is the old adage that you can't have friends unless you have enemies... well except Sprite

But I do applaud the ban on photos of ex's....
Revenge on ex lovers is just wrong!

I agree. Putting pics of your ex up is almost as bad as putting pics of your kids up. It's low class and, actually, puts you in prime position for civil action against you, if not criminal charges (varying from state to state).

Additionally, this site could also be held civilly liable. Very astute decision in not allowing these pics to be blatantly posted. I'm sure it'll be a pain to enforce, but it's great that Lush is taking a stand here.

With regards copyright etc. in the UK the copyright owner of a picture is the person that took that picture, so legally someone in a photo has no rights to ask for it to be removed, unless they took a self portrait. I do agree with copyrighted photos, on here that could/should be more of an issue. And I have also seen numerous pictures that have been "borrowed" from Ex sites. But seeing as the pictures drive traffic to the site, which generates revenue to keep the site open (and mayb a little more) I can't see that changing anytime soon.

At least in the states we are technically required to have model release forms for pics that have recognizable faces in them even if that face is in a crowd. I should know I just read pages of that shit when I signed up to be an istockphoto.com contributor! I also just think its good practice to disallow the humilation of exes even those supposed revenge sites require proof of age and model consent forms which I am sure the sluts in the videos are happy to hand over to their "exes" in return for some of the cash!

Further than the mere legalities of revenge photos, there is also the question of not contributing to cyberbullying.

What else can you call it when one of a couple breaks the trust of the other and posts unflattering, unclothed, or both photos on the internet for no other perceivable motive than to humiliate her (or, more infrequently, him.)

I threw out all the pics of my ex when we divorced. Doubt if I could find one if I tried.

Lush is many different things to many of us. There is a whole mix of cultures, societies, reasons and preferences as to why any of us are here. It is inevitable that there will be angry or broken people, as well as those who just want a giggle, to share writing, pictures, and there's a few trolls who pop up now and again too (makes life exciting). There are also vast amounts of smart, witty, funny, beautiful people that I love to bits, and others, not so much.

Lush is what we make it. There must be little reminders here and there for some who have differing standards, expectations and opinions (and more importantly, ways of expressing them) to those of not only the site owner, but the Lush community at large, and those reminders are there for good reason.

Welcome to Luscious Lush, and I hope you love it as much as I do!

Very good Idea. I'd hate to have someone post my picture of me somewhere online. This happened to me once, and it took me a LONG time to get it taken down.

Today’s age many peoples might have images and videos of current or ex partners. While the reason that gave the spark to do such a blindly action might have felt right at the moment, it remains highly immoral to upload material of that nature anywhere on the web without their consent.

On most websites it cannot ever be deleted, and after time goes on, the emotional consequences can be on both sides.

Really good idea to make this rule. I for one feel that the urge for revenge, and to hurt someone over a broken relationship should not be encouraged.
The only time a photo of ones mate/partner should be post is when they have consented and approve of the photo posted.

Changing the rule makes you guys look like you have some morals i guess (not assuming you are not in anyway because idk you) and it covers your ass so i dont blame you there. But for those putting there moral 2 cents in you must understand that there are BILLIONS of those type pics on the net. Most of the people posting them on here most likely stole them from another site on the net anyways. And most importantly NOT 1 person, as far as i seen, said anything about the poor humiliated ex is the one who allowed that picture to be taken (with a smile in most cases) and make its way all over the internet by the angry ex, computer repairman, hacker, or the random thumb drive finder. I dont think its right but i am 100% sure there will never be anything nude pics or videos on the internet that will humiliate me or my loved ones even though i have taken pics/vids with past partners, because I have PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY and ensured that they never found there way on a computer and they never left my side. This way the only ones who will ever see my full nude kinky pics and vids that you can tell its me in (doing things i wouldnt even want the devil to see! lol) are the people that are looking at them with me.... That said i just dont understand why some of you will demonize people for doing things to someone else, when they allowed the problem to be created or at least easily could have prevented the issues all together and you see them more as innocent victims then the 1/2 guilty irresponsible people that they are. Now i am sure there is an extremely small % that was complete innocent/ unaware/ and violated with the peeping tom spy cam type creeps but out of the billions out there i bet its less then measurable (hint is they are smiling at the camera then they are not innocentsmile Point is that everyone has to take and be accountable for there own personal responsibilities! so when you create or let others create something that will ruin you if its used against you one day then dont trust someone else with it. Anyways im dont ranting..... sorry for spelling, grammer, rushed thoughts and whatever other mistakes someone will nit pic over. but late for work thanks

When you have 20 or more forum posts, you get to begin posting cool, sometimes relevant videos like this one too.

The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.
