It is not my thing, but I would guess it would have something to do with the fact man men would feel like it is submissive (not saying it is or is not). A woman's perspective? It used to make me worry if my partner fantasized about the face, so I was against it, thinking it was somehow disrespectful or misogynistic. However, as I've gotten older, I've come to realize men are very visual creatures by nature and that it's more in line with completing the fantasy of "ownership" ....even if just for that moment.
