Im__lush sounds very feminine in my imagination even saying that!

Take any adult to a kids toy shop and their eyes will light up. That's the real reason adults don't wanna take their kids to the toy shop - they're afraid that they themselves will regress. I'd wager a psychologist would have a field day with this study *gets qualified* yup, my findings were. correct because I found them.

Just soldered a new capacitor into my bass, now Mr Tangle (I've named all my instruments) has a kinda soft, growly tone on the low end and a kinda mid sound on the high end that's neither bass nor treble. Me likey. Now to fix my wah wah pedal.

Random funnyness, wot I loled and drooled because I was loling so much over, by this bit: "You were lucky. We lived for three months in a paper bag in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six in the morning, clean the paper bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down t' mill, fourteen hours a day, week-in week-out, for sixpence a week, and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep wi' his belt." I was nearly passing out with laughing so much.

im_lush wrote:Is yours a single or a bank of pedals? I could help you look if you like. That is a beautiful looking wah! *drool* mine is a Dunlop Crybaby Bass Wah, but it's sucking volume, so I'm gonna add a preamp circuit to it, just as an experiment. If it works, I'll be jamming! Now to get some distortion or make a distortion pedal, or I could just hook up the Korg multi effects unit but that was designed for use on guitar, not bass. Still works pretty well though. Christ, I could sit here and write a frigging novella about my guitar crap, or at least a massive bunch of paragraphs, which is what this is turning out to be. If y'all wanna know: my bass is called Mr Tangle, my guitar (an Epiphone SG pierced) is called Frieda, my acoustic guitar is called Bones, banjo is called Twangmaster, Uke hasn't got a name yet because I've yet to fix it, so I don't know what it sounds like but as soon as I find some decent sticks, I'll be making new tuners for it and finally I'm buying another acoustic guitar on Tuesday, hopefully that'll tell me it's name soon. Of course, I could just randomly go on about my amplifiers now but I'll spare you all. I will, however, tell you that my favourite effect is my flanger, an Axl JF-2 flanger, to be precise and it only cost me £10. I bought it on a whim and loved the weird sound that came from it, so I kept it in my rig. I'm gonna hopefully add a true bypass circuit to it, but I don't think I'm that clever. I wish I hadn't sold my Marshall Guv'nor GV-2 distortion pedal, I bloody loved it! I'm so glad I got my electronics-fiddling-with hobby back, I feel like I've got my mojo back now, well one of them, at least. Anyway, this has taken up too much space already, so I'll stop and let eveyone else be random.

A wahwah pedal is for an electric guitar, you use the pedal if you want your guitar to go 'wah wah' while you are playing it. If you need any further info on a wah wah, please don't hesitate to ask me sweets!
