To the couple of pathetic low lives over me, quit trying to hijack threads and if you have a problem with me, report me to Lush. I'm sure people are tired of you creating scenes, I'm a little amused though. Regaeman Man

Sorry, I assumed (to the majority) that it would make perfect sense.

But I can break it down for those who need it.

"People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones."

It's a saying.

Definition:
This means that you should not criticize other people for qualities in their character that you have yourself.

Example: Telling someone to get off the internet and get a life, when they themselves are also on the internet.

As for the copyright, you should as a responsible poster, take a sec to see if the image you are posting is not copyrighted.
It's not Lushstories that would get grief for the post, it is indeed the responsibility of the poster. See below:

Lastly, this is an open forum.
Anything anyone posts, can be replied to, discussed, commented on by whomever wishes to.
That's kinda the point of a forum. It has nothing to do with whether or not my life is empty.

Pointing out where your comments or posts could be improved, well now, that's just helpful.

Judging and insulting other members and telling them they have no lives because they are participating on an internet forum, when you too are participating on an internet forum, well that's just hypocrisy.

Oh, and just in case that does not make sense:
Definition:
Hypocrisy is the state of promoting or administering virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that one does not actually have or is also guilty of violating.

One last tip, it kinda falls under the heading of 'good practice', when addressing a forum member, to try and get their name correct; Crazy DIAMOND not Crazy lady, otherwise it could be taken as offensive, or an insult even! That's just not sportsmanlike. angry7

I called you crazy lady, because you're a lady and your username is crazydiamond. I won't be offended if someone called me magician dude.

Everyone knows what glass houses means, I told the knee dude to get off the internet and get a life because he was behaving like a troll. So like I implied in my last post, if you don't the context of something, ask someone before forming an opinion.

As for the copyright, maybe it is a practice in nerdland, but most of us normal people don't check for copyrights when pulling a picture off google.

My goodness, who knew sent messages could breed such touchy feelings and douche-baggery?

Anywho, I for one think the 100 day thing is awesome. Fortunately for me, I don't dip too much in the realm of private messages, so I only had to delete about 30 pages worth of sent messages. But now I don't even have to think about it anymore.

Thanks Gav, you're the best!

Right then, Naughty_Magician. You know exactly what you meant by referring to Crazydiamond as "crazy lady", and it only serves to make you look like an ass for doing so. You know it, try as you might to weakly justify it; we know it, which is why you are being called out on it; we all know it, and no amount of pretending to be a pure and squeaky clean poster makes any of us think anything differently. By all means, go ahead and continue to attempt to look better, but we all know you just look daft now.

Calling Overmykneenow a troll, or at least the lame attempt to say his behaviour is that of a troll, only perpetuates your own "I-look-like-an-ass-ery". And by that, yes, I am saying your own posting makes you look like a troll too.

Currently, all the posters in this thread know the context of what is happening. Therefore, your insinuations and downright rudeness make you guilty of the same thing. Carry on insulting all of us, please do, for in asking us to believe you weren't being insulting is exactly that- an insult to not only Crazydiamond, but our intelligence. But be aware that not only are you alienating anybody who can clearly see what is going on here, but you are also proving to us all that you cannot handle the responsibilities of posting in an open forum, and then dealing with responses to said posting like an intelligent man, and somebody who has valid points. On the contrary: it screams something completely different, and it isn't attractive. Do carry on, but we're all watching to see what level of intelligence you will next respond with.

And as for the disrespect shown to both the law and artists whose pictures you "normal" people pull off Google without a second thought, I hope they do bring lawsuits against you, which they are entitled to do. Maybe then you might understand why it makes you not only a thief, but a short-sighted one at that. But it's your call, and it's nice that you can be open and honest about your views on the law and other peoples property.

Now, isn't it nice we're having weather? sunny

Gav, sorry. I'm one who tries to keep messages, because I can never remember what I last said in a text or black box message, let alone a whole PM! Thank you for giving us the option to check back and/or save. Big Hugs

I'm proposing that we purge messages in your sent items after a set period (say 100 days). You can always move anything you want to keep to a folder to secure it.

Thoughts?

Oh damn...I'm probably one of the biggest offenders...I keep most of my messages, and believe it or not, I actually refer back to things from time to time...

Most of my messages are writing related, and on occasion I do refer back to old discussions of story/poem ideas, etc...

Um...how about we make it 100 years instead of 100 days? I could probably live with that...

Actually, Crazydiamond didn't know I was even lurking about, since Real Life issues have been hounding me. But, as it happens, yes. Crazydiamond is a friend, and if I thought she was out of order, I'd have told her so. Friends do that.

But I thought somebody else was out of order, and I therefore told them so. And since we're in the playground, good. I'm glad my bogey-coloured font makes you sick, because your posting in this thread has made me feel bilious.

You're on your own now, because I've just been called in for dinner, so you will have to continue playing with yourself.

Oh, just noticed this today - thanks gav! crybaby Maybe we should do something similar to the received messages too? But hopefully will given much more warning so we can SAVE our messages!

A little off topic, but concerning copyright pictures, most pictures on the net are copyrighted and even though posting a pic is not actually breaking the laws unless it is stated, using unpaid and photoshopping images/brand items (even ones that do not have a copyright icon) on your own artwork/coverart and claiming it as your own, is just as bad, even worse - legally and morally. We should not come down heavy on one member when the forum is posted with hundreds of images with watermarks.

Sorry, but as a GA myself, I am a bit sensitive to people copy and pasting other peoples photos and artwork onto a background and say it is theirs Embarassed

Well, they're gone, I see.

I would have appreciated a wee bit more notice, since I no longer visit Lush every day and didn't know this was happening until after it was done. As a former moderator, I had some sent messages I was saving as "official" Lush correspondence should any questions about them arise in the future. Oh well, c'est la vie, I suppose.

Chill your beans, kiddo. It's isn't my fault you can't act your age and grow up. You're like a spoilt child who can't handle a negative opinion or the word no, but you can give people shit for stupid reasons.

I am very sad to have lost all the messages I have sent . Many were to friends who have since left LushStories , but meant a lots to me at the time .
It would help if members were forewarned that after 100 days sent messages would be deleted , I would have put mine in a folder as suggested .
