eviotis - As absurd as it is to single out one song for comment out of the hundreds of unique, educational, and inspiring songs you've posted here, I want to really thank you for posting this one. I was a huge fan of early Pink Floyd - up to Animals, my favourite Pink Floyd album, (Roger Waters last Floyd contribution). I was saddened by Syd Barrett's illness, departure from the band and recent death. I don't believe this song appears on either of Barrett's solo albums. May I ask where it is from? My round for drinks. What's yours this time?

Love the lyrics in the bridge on this one:
I can get a job I can pay the phone bills I can cut the lawn, cut my hair, cut off my cholesterol I can work overtime I can work in a mine I can do it all for you, But I don't want to.

From the guy who posted it on You Tube: Bob Dylan Blues "Song originally written by Syd as a teen during the height of Bob Dylan mania in Europe (pre-Pink Floyd). During the recording of one of his solo albums (post-Pink Floyd), Syd was reminded of this track by producer David Gilmour & encouraged to record it. That tape stayed in Gilmours possession for 30+ years until released in 2001. In "Bob Dylan Blues", Syd not only composes a song poking fun at all of the Bob Dylan hype, but manages to do it in Bob Dylan's own talking blues style! The music video is by director Jimmy Lee. It was made during his freshman year of college at Temple University in Philadelphia. This was his first attempt at editing a video on a computer." It's kinda like a lost treasure map this you tube thing. If you keep digging and follow clues (uploader names, different combos of song titles, etc) you hit pay dirt once in a while. That'll be a Turbo Dog for me. Then we can hit Tipitina's for some good live music. For net radio listener's, try WWOZ. It's a station out of New Orleans, they play a great mix of stuff. Sorry forgot to mention it before, the Jazz Fest just ended.

Here's The Who, doing a rather half-hearted attempt to sync to the music...but, a fun vid nonetheless...
