Seems to me at least with my friends that women Masturbate a lot too. Maybe not as much as guys and maybe not so much to the visual.
But we Masturbate a lot too.
Of course I guess many of my friends are more like me and that would explain the variance with the median females activity.

I lean more towards erotica to get me into the masturbating mood ... when necessary. I tend to be horny enough most days, so my imagination easily takes me to where I want to go. But well-written stories; love them. It's a big reason why I wanted to try my own hand at writing (I already try my own hand at masturbating on a regular basis).
In terms of visual porn, it needs to be at least M/F for me, sometimes F/F ... and there needs to be some context to it.

Yes, porn is fun. Mainly, I use stories & my own mind… but videos come in handy sometimes, too. If I watch too many videos… they get kind of boring, or I find myself getting too caught up on how cheesy the acting is, or if there's a fart-noise. It's just distracting lmao. So… if I want off fast? Stories or my own thoughts. If I want to click around a video to get to the good stuff, and can listen to it uninterrupted… I'll go with that sometimes.
