I still say communication is the key to keep the physical side of a long term relationship fresh. Open, frequent and safe.

The exception to this rule is probably the majority of women here on this site, but for the most part, most of the men I know have wives who simply dislike sex. I don't think it is just a fact that men are not romantic. Why can't women just like sex for sexes sake? Why does romance have to enter into it. Why are men and women so different?
I'm rambling here but I do think that if women liked sex like men do we would be like rabbits, but wouldn't that be fun.
Just curious, and this is probably the wrong group to ask.

Women can't just perform sex for the hell of it like men can ... we have deeper seated needs .. and it's not just a question of wham! bam! thank you M'aam! as it is with guys. However that doesn't mean they don't want sex. We most certainly do - but not with the first guy we meet.

I must've slept with at least 100 guys in my short time and my sex drive is off the scale but unless I find someone to whom I'm attracted it's a no go area whereas men could pretty much put a paper bag over her head and fuck like a rabbit - yay! got a fuck last night!.

As for married women - well - I can't really comment because I've never been there yet. However I would suggest that the majority of married women who shun sex with their husbands do so out of the repetitive boredom of late night sex, little foreplay and a husband who, when he's got his oats, rolls over and snores the whole night through.

Actually they probably just dislike thier husbands. Women like sex just as much as men, more in some cases, it's all about the company they keep. Men and women aren't diffrenet, romance pffft, maybe sometimes but if thats your thinking all the time, therein lie the problem. It's all about how she's treated day to day. Welcome to 2013 Mister. I'm bored already.

So are you implying that you've had 100 mini-relationships, where you really knew the other person so well that you were in either in love or almost in love or just infatuated or what...before your own cream machine ignited?

I'm not making fun of you... just trying to figure out what you're actually saying. Sorta like the Tennis Pro from Atlanta...he claims that he's had over 100 relationships in his life too.

I don't understand that...

I've had less than half a dozen relationships in my adult life... (while some fucking was also occurring)... and most of the other relationships (friendships) only really blossomed after the fucking had long since gone by the wayside.

How does one have 100 different relationships in a lifetime where you can actually call it a relationship with sex intermingled?
Is it a 3 day relationship, 2 week relationship, 4 month summer fling...

what? evil4

And people who say we don't need labels... LMFAO

If ya can't beat 'em... pay someone to do it for you.

I'm not implying anything - just stating facts thats all. They weren't mini-relationships just guys whom I fancied at the time and said to myself "hey - ho ... let's have a fling with this one". Maybe if you've had less than a half dozen relationships in your life then that suits you - fine. At the end of the day we all look for the one which we will call - special - so maybe it's taken me a lot longer to find that 'special' one than you. Hope you have too.

Most of those - for your interest were only 'one night stands'. And it's so much easier for us girls - certainly in UK - to find guys than for you to find us.

I haven't trawled through all the replies as I really should be sleeping but I just wanted to chip in... Has it ever occurred to you that maybe your friend's wives are just sick and tired of disappointing sex? A lot of guys seem to think that doing the same thing every time is good- but after twenty years of marriage you might wanna think again. Or maybe he's always been a shit shag but she puts up with it because she loves him but that means she doesn't want to have him every night? Or maybe they like different things in bed? There are a million and one reasons, those are just my opinions because the only times I've not been keen on getting some is when my other half is crap in the sack.

This ^^

I love sex. I definitely prefer good sex over mediocre.
His "seven minutes to heaven" routine is sadly lacking and I'd rather sleep through it.
There's no passion. Or foreplay. Or afterplay. Just a wham-bam-thank-you-maam (minus the thank you) and its over and done with and he's snoring. Yeah... That's MY idea of a great time. angry7

But it's us women that take the brunt of the stigma. We just don't want bad sex, that's all. dontknow

Step up your game guys and put some effort into it and you just might get lucky a little more than twice a year.

Cause guys like you only think with one head. Seriously, how do you expect your wife, or long time girlfriend to want sex with someone who just wants to get it wet? Does it really require a degree in astrophysics to be romantic? Sex is a 2 way street(sometimes 3 or 4.)Show intrest in her heart and mind, make her feel like somebody, tell her she is beautiful. Just don't get a stiffy from looking at porn or whatever and beg for it. Damn, didn't mean to rant.

I know that for me I have been through a lot in my life, and need to have that connecting feeling with someone. I think that means more than just sex needs to be involved. I don't know why others can or can't. This is just me.

The girl who started early at this game of sexual pleasure, This girl that never seems to get as much as she wants, at least from the right people. But now certainly the woman that will test all the paths of pleasure with you.

Well I've been around long enough to know that the blame where it is true that many women don't like sex is because A) of the way they have been treated over the years including being abused B) how they are taught about sex. My first suggestion is take a hard look at yourself in a mirror, maybe the problem is you.

I have not met many women who don't like sex . My wife , now 52yrs , seemed to enjoy it till the menopause , but in the last five years has gone off it . All the previous women lovers , couldn't have enough . I do admit that in my sixties , my ladyfriend a couple of years younger was insatiable . After her multiple orgasms and mine , I did used to turn over and go to sleep , despite her shouting at me " Stronzo " . In my first marriage we had a lot of sex , after a number of years a degree of boredom set in , but that didn't deter us . We used to find it stimulating to make love in public places , where there was at least a little chance of being caught . I'm not a Wam Bam Thank You Mam kind of lover ; I am attracted to people I can connect to intellectually , as in the way women are attracted to men , who are strong , intelligent , rich , witty , charming and sometimes not handsome at all . Many men and often those who are well endowed are not very good lovers at all , too big , not enough foreplay to excite the woman to wet the pussy enough to take them . I have heard many women say they like to be cuddled and caressed , more than the penetrative sex , a lot of foreplay .
