I don't think it is really specifically the face, though that is often the reality. I think it's really more the idea that our orgasm is so amazing for both of us that I, the male, want to cover the female from head to toe in it and that the female wants to be completely covered in it. It's only hot if the female in question wants it though. My wife will sometimes ask me to. If you don't like it for one reason or another, just act like you don't and that should do the trick.

I'm pretty sure it's because it's a porn meme-slash-cliche. "The money shot" as it used to be called. And also it's part of the classless, faux "intimacy" misogynist attitude prevailing in porn, like a lot of other "memes/cliches". The porn producers are usually a pretty gross, ungentlemany bunch concerned with making a buck, being gross themselves they perpetuate these images and then porn watchers think "Oh, so that's what I've been missing." It's pretty absurd. Not "Life imitating Art", but "Life imitating the lowest common denominator". Too, it prompts people to be only all about the "mechanics" of sexual intimacy. I hope the future sees a return to actual intimacy, mutual pleasure, even *gasp* romance in the sexual encounters.

I do think it is partially an impression given by porn, but I also think it has to do with power and seeing the woman's face as you cum.... both tend to be very erotic. It has to be something she WANTS and ENJOYS though. Heck, some men like a woman to cum on THEIR face too (I do), and I don't consider it degrading or nasty. For me, it has to do with a dom/sub role. I find it very erotic that when our trysts have taken that turn into something a bit out of the norm to "mark my territory" in some primal animalistic sense.
