Ashleigh, you really have no idea what you started.

Red velvet cheesecake cookies:

Here's the recipe.

The last time I made these was for the 4th of July, so to make them more festive, I used a powdered food coloring for the white chocolate drizzle on top to make it blue. It looked fantastic with the red cookie and the white filling.

Sidenote: When dying chocolate, use a powdered or oil-based food coloring, otherwise the dye will separate from the chocolate and ruin the consistency of the chocolate, destroying your entire batch.

I love brussel sprouts. That preparation looks good but my all time favorite way to make them is to toss some lardons in a skillet until they release the fat and then toss in the sprouts with some butternut squash. Season and Let them get coated in the fat and get a bit of color then add a bit of garlic and finish them in the oven until they are to your liking. I don't like them too soft, I like a bit of crunch in them.

I also like to make a simple slaw with them. You just shave the sprouts really finely. A mandolin is best. Then add chopped hardboiled egg and good parmesan cheese or romano (the kind you grate yourself). A salty dry cheese is best. Add some olive oil and lemon juice too. If the cheese isn't salty enough add a bit of salt and pepper to taste. It's really simple and really good.

Those simply look delicious! I love cheesecake, plus they seem moist, which I really like.

I would be so grateful to receive these cookies as a gift, in a nicely packaged box.

I never in my life, expected sprouts to be mentioned in a porn-food thread, ever. Is someone pulling my leg?

Yum!

I'm a sucker for Japanese food, recently (maybe because of the colder Sydney weather), I can't resist Aburi Salmon and Scallops (the top of the sushi is very slightly grilled):

I am not allowed near the blow torch after the last attempt trying to make it myself...

Hella simple, but incredibly delicious when you get a hankering for some sugar.

Triple chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. They turn that frown, upside down.

This is one of my favourite things and it's mostly because of the presentation - but Lobster Spoons - perfectly drizzled in a bit of clarified butter and garnished for flavour.

I love Italian. And this chicken alfredo penne is great comfort food. Serve this up with a good Pinot or even a White Zinfandel if you're in that kind of mood...or Ginger Ale if you're me and don't feel like being a grownup.

A few really good summer smoothies. They're light and cooling and refreshing.

Spa Cucumber:

Peel, seed and chop 2 medium cucumbers. Blend with the juice of 1 lime, 1/2 cup water, 1 cup ice and 3 to 4 tablespoons sugar or honey (honey is preferable).

Honeydew (the red-headed step child of the melon world) Almond:

Blend 2 cups chopped honeydew melon, 1 cup each almond milk and ice, and honey to taste.

Pineapple-Mango:

Blend 1 cup each chopped pineapple and mango, 1 cup coconut water, a dash of ground allspice and 1 cup ice. Sprinkle with toasted coconut (optional).

Cucumber-Kale:

Blend 1 1/4 cups vegetable juice, 1/2 peeled cucumber, 3 kale leaves and the juice of 1/2 lemon.

**Sidenote: A green smoothie or juice everyday is great for your immune system. Switch up the greens everyday for optimal results.

lol... My mom makes all the zucchini recipes - brownies, cakes - everything. I grew up on it. And yeah, I agree - you honestly can't taste it AT ALL and it's a great way to make sweets healthier.

I grabbed this recipe from Lululemon last year and made them during the fall months after a run or just to kickstart the morning. They are sooo good - tastes just like pumpkin pie and complements a workout instead of undoing it.

Post-run Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie

½ cup canned pumpkin
1 cup almond milk
½ a banana
1 tbsp of raisins
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
½ tsp vanilla extract
sprinkle nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger

Blend it all together in your favourite appliance (are you a Vitamix® or Magic Bullet® devotee?) and top with flax seed for an extra health kick!

You honestly can't even taste zucchini if you eat them raw away. Much like celery, they're water and little else. You really need to add seasoning to them when you grill them, so I can believe they'd fit into not just a brownie mix, but other things as well.

I'm a magic bullet devotee. I have two. One I purchased myself and another my mom sent me as a gift and I didn't have the heart to tell her I already had one. So I use one for edibles/drinkables, and I use one for skin/hair/body.
