So, do you? I certainly don't. But it would help knowing if I was a lone case or not.

Yes, but it's not always as good, I guess because I know what's coming.

Oh yes I do! The mere thought of sex is enough to get me a little worked up, but even so...I usually write my stories with a particular someone (or someones) in my mind's eye. And my mind's eye can be a very exciting place indeed. I think arousal and imagination go hand in hand when it comes to writing quality sex - I can't conceive of one without the other!

I do often. My stories and poems are part of me so when I am writing sexy stuff that is me right there on the page in that moment

While I am writing them yes.

Not so much if I read it after it's up.

Yes, reading them and writing them

When writing, very much so. Re-reading, a little bit but not really, only if there's a little something I had forgotten was in there.

I don't know if I'll say aroused while I'm reading it in general, my hand isn't sneaking south unknowingly. It doesn't sneak up on me like that. When writing, I'll have to say yes--memory and imagination get me every time. I may have to take a break or go get me some and come back. If I am reading my own stuff and I get caught up (to the point where I'm forgetting to edit and I'm following along even though I know what is going to happen), then I know I have a good story. That's the story I need to share, that's the story I want to read.
? A True Story ?

Sometimes I do, esp. if it is one that I haven't read it in a while. OTOH, sometimes I spend so much time cringing and mentally re-writing that arousal just isn't going to happen.

That's exactly how it works for me too. Thankfully, I find myself in the first category more and more often. If I don't look too closely, that is. ;-)

I do when I think them up. But when it comes to writing them down, including the dozens of times I read them over to make sure they're right, not at all.

However, when I've revisited some of my stories after a long time away, I have begun to feel the tingle of arousal while reading. Certainly nothing full bore to drop the strides over, but a bit of a thrill regardless.
My latest story is a racy little piece about what happens when someone cute from work invites you over to watch Netflix and Chill.

I do, but mostly when I am writing them. When re-reading and editing not so much... I guess it is because I know what is coming up in the story line.

Ha ha, so you enjoy them that much??? smile Hope you keep some tissues handy

I re-read mine from time to time, sometimes from a purely critical point of view, wondering if I could have made it better, but there are a couple of mine that are more true than others, and reading them makes me aroused as I relive the stories

I wasn't laughing at you, Colette. The question struck me as hilarious, is all.

Well, I like them, but not love them, I guess. I'm still not much a reader, I'll probably always be more of a writer, than a reader. I still read a few every now, and then.

Of course as I would like to live the part sometimes.
My only problem is in the rewriting of the rejections. Concentrating on the corrections is often a problem.

Yeah, I do. They're mostly fantasies I've had for years or reality that I like to remember so how can I not get excited? I wrap a story around me and crawl in to live there for a while. I like details so I write to many sometimes. All the time actually, it's hard for me not to.

I can't really understand why it wouldn't for everyone. If it was something that you thought of as hot or sexy enough to write about then it should.

The problem I have most is when I tell them I include detail that describes what I think about myself, my wife and family, details behind the tale I'm telling. As an actor it's called "the Back Story" and if you haven't write one for the part you have you really suck as an actor. I am very good.

I've been with her for 44 years now and I do not cheat, commitment has a very rigid definition for me, but she is suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia. She can not remember me asking or us getting married and that tears my control into little tiny pieces that blow away. I get teary and cry almost every time I write or read about it.

I write about it in the hope that it'll make it a little easier when she finally can't remember me. I am one maudlin old fart, just writing that effected me.

I'm trying to write an After Death fantasy about her and me now that's ripping at me.
I am always a gentleman.

I don't, that much. But I do get aroused while writing them. I might have a vague idea of the storyline before starting but I read the story as I'm writing it. It usually doesn't take any longer for me to write a story as it does to read one.

Yes - I write mainly for myself and only share about 1/3 of that with others.

Yes, often. Whilst I have a broad idea of where the story is going, the details of what happens actually surprise me sometimes. I find it helps if I base the story around a location that I am familiar with or an event or incident in my own life.

Definitely. If I can't cum from my own stories, how can I expect my readers to? So I only publish stories where I came at least once while writing them.

Reading? No not really. I'm the type to find all the mistakes that slipped through & that kills the mood.

Writing however I have had to stop a few times & relieve the pressure

Knowing what to type, how it may affect other Lush readers, the mystery of who I am. This is all very arousing. But, after I see the story published I am somewhat disappointed that I didn't proof read it better. The glaring errors really bother me. For this reason I don't read them often.
However the prize is the nice comments and positive votes I get. Knowing that I satisfied the reader, then it's all worth it. I must say there are many other writers here that I admire and their creations do make me cum. Sorry if I went on too long but it's a good question and glad it was posted.
