It's really a question of how they act.
There's a lot more to this LaceyLorna, I've sent you a pm. My reference to "jerks" was aimed at those few members here who "pounce" on every new female member they come across. Posting very explicit gifs on their pages, as soon as an unsuspecting new member accepts their friend request.
It's becoming an issue which is being looked into. I don't want new members leaving because of it, and that does happen.
I think Summer left because the attention (good and bad) was getting out of hand. I can't say I blame her really, but she did bring most of that attention on herself.

To be fair to the people who gave her unwanted attention, yes, she did more than publicize herself. Summer loved to post pictures and videos of herself naked and/or having sex. I remember one video in particular when she was briefly on my friends list wherein she was naked, wasted and talking to her bottle of tequila. While I have no problem with that at all, she did make it clear in those messages both explicitly and implicitly that she liked the attention, and she solicited dirty messages from her entire friend list.
That being said, jerks are still jerks. It's important not to jump on somebody because they offer you a hug. People often mistake mass messages as an excuse to get into closer contact. A good guideline is that if you're responding specifically to something that was said or asked in such a message, you're probably okay, but otherwise it's just unwanted.

I thank the last two posts (one by the forum owner herself). I don't see any of the posts above as being "victim bashing" at all. Each case is different. And when it comes to "Summer Jones"... to say she fell into the range of normal self promotion and what she ASKED for would be dishonest at best. To say she went above and beyond what most would consider normal "attention whoring" would be an understatement. Now folks can get all PC and be outraged by this comment, but it is what it is, and is the truth (as even expressed by the forum owner herself).
With that said, each member should think about what THEY do on LUSH and how that may be perceived by others and how reactions may be. I see time and again people acting a certain way and when called on it, they get all offended. Or they act a certain way and when others react similarly or in an unwanted, but IDENTICAL way, they get all offended. Well.... hello!?!?!?! LOL
It is a shame though when any member feels the need to leave LUSH for any negative reason, be it because of other members or themselves. This place is supposed to be "fun", and while we each have different views on what fun IS, there are some things that are NOT FUN AT ALL, and when it is at the expense of someone else's enjoyment... STOP.

I was simply asking if anyone had any contact info for Summer.As for her dealing with the many jerks that come on here for short periods of time,she handled them quite well(from what she told me) I was also inquiring about her because it's not like her to just close out her account without saying good-bye to her fellow lushies. Her stories were written from her awesome imagination. She is a truely amazing woman that was given my utmost respect. She will be sorely missed here on Lush Stories.

Unfortunately, there's no way for you to read Summer's stories. Each author/member here owns their work, not the site. Once a member deletes their account, their stories are deleted from our database as well.

When someone deletes their account, their stories are also deleted. This is why people are advised to think a lot about this before doing it. An interim measure is to put your account in abeyance, which preserves your stories. Moderators have enough work to do without reviewing the stories of members who delete their accounts and then return shortly thereafter.
