I not fond of bacon. Last time I ate bacon it was just black rectangled shaped pieces of carbon soaked in oils and saturated fats and tasted like soot and poo (Saladfingers, 2009). I am however, fond of makin' bacon.

I ran across a magazine yesterday that had bacon plush toys, bacon salt, bacon in a can. All kinds of bacon products and thought of this thread.

Bacon is sooooo tasty, and it's really a weakness of mine! Plus it's hard to nag hubby about staying healthy when I'm having a bacon cheeseburger and I insist on him having something healthier. I tell him once his choleterol levels look like mine, he can have bacon cheeseburgers again!

hmm, its 1.20am and I'm so hungry, I can smell bacon cooking
I like it semi crispy with the fat more crispy than than meat. Sliced thinly and fried so crispy that it shatters when cut to scatter over a warm chicken salad. And the chicken is 'crumbed' in parmesan cheese and grilled. Yumm..

I like it crispy but not too crispy. And most of the time if I eat bacon it's in a sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayo and thin slices of avocado. So a basic B.L.A.T sandwich. I also love warm spinach salad with bacon. Really love that.

ROASTED, CRISP SHITAKES Ingredients: • 1⁄2 pound shitake mushrooms, stemmed and sliced • 1⁄4 cup extra virgin olive oil • 1 teaspoon sea salt Cooking instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350°. 2. In a bowl combine the mushrooms, oil, and salt. 3. Spread mushrooms on a parchment-lined baking sheet and place in oven. 4. Roast mushrooms until dry and crisp, stirring about every 10 minutes, approximately 45 minutes to one hour. (Oven temperatures may vary.) Bitches in the Basement on Amazon by our own Dancing Doll
