In general, I am attracted to strong (both mentally and physically) females, who can be independent and get things done. He has been hailed as one of the greatest military minds of current times. His extra-marital affair is clearly his personal issue. I am not sure if professionals should be asked to resign for their personal affairs (specially, because this is clearly not criminal - only a moral issue). He has contributed so much to the US and Nato, a part of me actually feels sorry for him.

It is kind of weird, but sometimes you can just kind of feel someone staring at you. Maybe it is just that you are catching them in your peripheral vision.


hmm.. that's what I was wondering.. such a feeling (claiming that she could feel that someone was staring) appears in many stories..

but this is something very mysterious...don't know if science can explain this.

It is possible to catch stolen glances when some one is front/side of you.. but what if the person behind you is undressing you with his eyes... would you know? If yes, how soon? Typically, how would you react?

I wonder if the number of atheists is on the rise or if people just don't care what others think of them anymore. Used to be you had to see and be seen in church on Sundays or you would get snide remarks made behind your back as well as openly. Now perhaps people just don't give a shit and tell the sheeple to clean up their own lives before trying to clean up others.
Then again, maybe they just want some kind of proof instead of being bullshitted all the time.:-"

Atheism and 'going to church' (or any other place of worship) are quite different things...Many people would classify themselves as theists/believers... even though they may not participate in religious activities on a regular basis...
in fact.. I would go a step further and say that religion has nothing to do with god perse (even if we assume that god exists).. religions are man made after all....

Most models predict that the economy turns round in 2014 and that creates 12 million new jobs regardless. Which is why Mr cynical is promising to do that, he knows it will happen anyway.

As for the deficit, well that will close on Jan 1st due to the Bush tax cuts ending and the sequestration happening. So if congress did absolutely nothing the budget deficit would pretty much go away. Only doing it that way would likely cause another recession. Now the GOP is of course demanding that nobody else is getting a tax cut unless Mittens gets a much bigger one. And they might well follow through there. But the sequestration is likely to go away simply because the GOP really likes spending money on militarism regardless of whether it has any defensive value or not.
