I hope everyone understands that my "statistical" analysis was meant tongue-in-cheek. I've have a couple of college level statistics and know, just for an example that some obese women are African-American, so you just can't add 12 % and 33%. However, like most tongue-in-cheek comments, there is a some truth. Say 12 % of women are too religious for me. Say there is 1/6 chance (it makes the math easier if you make this assumption) that overweight women are more likelyl to be religious or African-American (To be clear I'm making a statistical point, not a racial remark), then you can add
10 % (not religious African American) 5/6 of 33 % for obese, and 12 % too religious and you get nearly 50%.

I'm surprised at the unsympathetic ear this woman gets from the women who posted comments. Let's take your average woman. We will call her
Jane the receptionist. Jane has an IQ of 100. She has a choice of marrying and having children by Dan the Doctor (with an IQ of 120) or Charlie the custodian (with an IQ of 80). If she divorces Dan, she will get tax free child support of say $1200/month, not much less than $2000/mo Charlie makes before taxes.

On average the daughter she has with Don, would have an IQ of 110, with John 90. Don's daughter's grows up and becomes Nancy's the nurse. The daughter she has by Charlie becomes Wendy the waitress (no offense intended my niece is a waitress).

Nancy has a much better chance of marrying a doctor (or other high status person) than does Wendy. The grandchildren Jane has through Don, the doctor are much better off than would be through John the janitor and would be better able to help take care of Jane when she grows old. So for the sake of her daughters yet born, Jane goes for the higher status guy.

Where does this leave Charlie and Mark the mailman (with an IQ of 100)? Very frustrated.

Almost without exception, women marry at or above their status. A male doctor might marry a nurse or receptionist, but a female doctor who is she going to marry? A plumber? For the past decade or so, more women have graduated from college than men. When women complain there as so few good guys available, demographically, and from an evolutionary point of few, they are correct.

What total nonsense, and don't you pay attention to it either.

I was at the dentist office the other day. While waiting a read this article, written by a woman, in Mens' Health. She said, "evolutionary speaking, a woman would rather have baby with a high status man who might bail on her, then one with a lower status man who is as loyal as a lapdog."

Is this how women feel?

Am I out of luck because I have steady, but not so high status (but not really low status either) civil service job?

The US census reports that there are 70 million unmarried women between the ages of 18 and 45. According to the CDC 1/3 of all American are overweight or obese, that leaves 44.1 million. Also according to the CDC 5 % of all Americans have a serious mental health problem, that leaves, 41.895 million.

Again according to the US census 12% of Americans are Africa-American. Don't get me wrong, Michelle Obama is a beautiful woman, and I voted for her husband, but I just see myself dating a black woman, that leaves 36.875 million. Figure 5 % of women are bi or mostly bi, that leaves 35 million, figure 10 % are too busy with their careers, leave 31.5 million. Figure another 10 % are just not dating because of a bad experience, about to take another job in another state, just tired of the dating scene, and we are down to 25.15 million,

Depending on one's age half of the range 18-45 is either too/too young, that leaves 12.75 million. Eliminate 1.5 % for in the military service, incarcerated, or hospitalized, 4% for too tall (over five eleven) or too short (under five foot) and another 2% for flat chested. You are down to 8.3 million.

Subtract another 99.9999% for too far away (over 35 miles) and you are left with one not flat chested, not overweight, white, Hispanic, or Asian unmarried woman living within a reasonable distance. If you are her, please give me a call.
