fantasy world? I am foolish enough to like love and am old enough to remember lust, and the way it removes all shackles. Innocence rather than power appeals. Looking down the list of lush categories for inspiration then exhibtionism, voyeurism, lesbian, reluctance, taboo including incest, first time, inter racial, but with reality please. Lose the porno stereotyping, and gold stars rather than vajazzles for anyone with the courage to be natural and hairy, rather than forced into some kind of semi-paedo fantasy. Reclaim your curls!
Favorite Books:
oh there's a big pile of books waiting to read - they are all favourites, they all remain largely unread. From the past? Devil on the Cross, Dice Man, The Fallen, Ginger Geezer, The boy looked at Johnny.
Favorite Authors:
recently some lushies are doing well - oh lets dust off the pretentious past - camus, orwell, sartre,
Favorite Movies:
Bad Timing, Apoc Now, La Bete, Last Tango, 24 hour party people (1st half), Touch of Evil, Kane obviously, La Nuit American, how come classy tv don't get an option. Is there one other Paris fan (JEJones not Hilton) out there - yup bizarre cult tv reference! Delicatessen and Blue Collar should be in there somewhere as well
Favorite Music:
Yes music is my favourite - i hate all rock/HM/american mor/formula stuff. I can happily claim to like most other stuff - key tunes? more than there are lushies - at this moment venus in furs, the classical (just shout never felt better in my life!), ma eliza (perfection), wind of change, when the boy's happy, slave, church, walk tall, rockers, bass culture, time goes by so slow, lost love, atmosphere, (histoire de) bonnie et clyde, allah hoo allah hoo, girlfren, something goes wrong again! Today's stormer from heaven? Testament ya Bowule by Franco - track down - it will change your life or leave you cold. There's no middle ground as with all good music! And another today? Some of Your Lovin' by Dusty.

Topic: RIP Margaret Thatcher
Posted: 08 Apr 2013 16:37

There's been some fairly sane and wise words - on Lush and the news generally. My throwaway thoughts would be that it is easy to characterise the advent of Thatcher as a PM (that is Prime Minister not a stray reference to Punish Me) as a victory of the modern conservativism over luddite trade unions bringing the country down but can someone explain how the most successful European economy over my long lifetime was (West) Germany which managed to achieve a growing economy with workers having a say in the way their companies were run. There was another way but it was most certainly not her way. It was her flawed monetarist policies that brought the country's economy to its knees, not the unions, and made her the country's most unpopular PM but then she played her get out of jail card and had the Falkland War. Shame people had to die for her to become popular.

And gosh, how to make some of the country rich? Just give away money via selling off our industries on the cheap by privatising them - and gosh, creating monopolies they made loads of money for a few people - and sold off our country's rented homes so that people could again get a free cash sum off their government. The fact that all our real jobs disappeared and the only growth area in England (and that is a deliberate use of England rather than the UK) has been banking and financial services is the consequence of Thatcher, and Friedman, and Joseph. And we all know what happens when bankers are allowed to run riot as the last six or so years have told us.

Okay, can i say a nice thing about her? She had convictions but should have been convicted for them - cheap jibe!!! The only envy i have ever had for her is that i just so wish the politicians i like had had the bottle (and also the luck that she defininetely had) and the sheer twisted single bloody mindedness to press ahead and just look after their particular part of the population in the same way that Thatcher did.

I have to admit that my first thought given it was lush was

... a coming-together?

However, anyone who has ever stumbled across my mutterings will be unsurprised with my final offering (well for the moment!)

... a void

Topic: Why Are So Many Comments Completely Positive?
Posted: 19 Feb 2013 16:05

Commenting critically means my knuckles are currently in plaster with a Lush logo on it, so I shall try to tread carefully and as meaninglessly as usual.

An aside - comments and indeed scoring on Lush are getting to an interesting stage at the moment for a sad anorak like me. It may be my imagination but I am sure that more stories are raking up average scores of 5s; that even fours are becoming a rarer mark for people to give. Okay the Lush membership seems to have doubled in the last year so maybe that has something to do with it. (And why is this strand running at the same time someone else has a strand running grumbling about Lush being full of bleeding writers now!)

Oh right, did i have anything relevant to say? Criticism is not necessarily an easy thing to give, and going by some reactions to me, not an easy thing to receive either. The reality is that most of us will avoid the stories that have an off-putting title, is in a category we don't like or is so jarringly written that we give up after a few paras. Reading and enjoyment of stories is also surely a mood thing. I am probably naturally pompous (and intensely hypocritical) about most things on Lush, and I have been conscious of making comments when I am probably gone into a grumpy mood.

But I ultimately want to read authors who are challenging the boundaries of the cliches that populate most Lush stories - and that is not necessarily a criticism of those who are producing crowd pleasers but more an admission that I am just an awkward bastard. That can mean that if I am reading well regarded, top ranking Lush authors then I have expectations of them and I have voiced my grumbles when they are not meeting them. Ah, i was about to say never nastily, but I realise that is a word that is open to debate (smile!!) but seriously any comments I have made were made to make the author think a little bit and question what I have taken (almost certainly wrongly) as just lazy sloppiness or simple clit/cock pleasing fodder.

Sadly LM you have now opened yourself up to me casting my eyes over at least one of your stories, and i welcome the fact that you are seeking real comments rather than ego stroking. Just hope that is still the case after I have commented as I have bad experience of finding out that is not always the case!!!

So actually, Lush does tend to encourage us all towards bottling up our slightly critical comments and just go with the flow - it does feel odd or rather challenging to make a contrary comment about a work which has a flood of lovely comments, more often than not from the elite of Lush-land. To then be feeling in a emporers new clothes situation (and that does happen a bit at the moment) can be difficult and it so much easier to just accept that you don't understand this new pop music that the kids love and walk away from it shaking your head sadly. There is also that element that someone else has aluded to - the guilt thing of if you do offer a critical comment it can cause others to voice similar thoughts; and that is aside from the fear of being slagged off for having dared criticise a great talent!!

So, for a variety of reasons, the best solution probably is to PM the writer with your thoughts. Unless you are one of those sad people who actually don't like sending unsolicited PMs to people you don't know. Then you are really in a bind - still that is not as bad as having read all of these meanderings is it?

Topic: How about a gay section in Personal/Relationships
Posted: 18 Feb 2013 16:57

smiling broadly - ah always amusing to see people getting more steamed up about sexual categories than sex itself, surely you cannot all be as old and dull as me?

anyway, one of my normal slightly confused comments. This is the web, the joy is that it can stretch as far and wide as you want, so having a gay section is just a logical extension to the land of Lush. So yeah Malik and Nicola are right to be pursuing it, even as a simplistic widening of Lush as a marketing tool (oh smile please!). Equally, surely, we all know that the reality of Lush is that it won't really create a silo mentality - everyone seems to routinely poke around in threads where they probably should not be anyway so I am sure that proud tradition will continue and that the, ahem, cross fertilisation will continue willy nilly!

But being an awkward sod, I do wonder if there really needs to be separate gay and bi threads as i tended to think that there can be some rather big barriers between the two, and certainly obviously some rather different life experiences. (As a passing aside, why could there be any questioning about adding a gay or indeed bi element to the forums when bi and gay M and F sections are in the story categories. Now if you want to lose the interracial i will willingly support that!)

Okay, finished, and i dare say my magic touch of killing threads will continue! Wake me up if you want to do bad things to me please!

I dunno about this as a thread, although sweet to offer a non-christian (yeah making assumptions!) merry xmas.

But ignoring what it is meant to be about (and accepting the basic tenet that of course it is ultimately down to what comes out of the mouth rather than the colour around it) it does allow me to vent about the most annoying thing about Lush for me which is the inter-racial section. Sorry, justifications about it being about exploring other cultures, and the attraction of doing so, really is beau locks. Read them - it is just the worst type of stereotyping. Lose the category (damn now i know what i should have said in that recurring one thing that would improve Lush thread!) and let people introduce interracial sex (which sure as hell aint a big thing anymore) into their stories in whatever categories they want to put them.

Sorry, but in my dull aged liberal mind, keeping the interracial section is just pandering to bone headed racial stereo typing. Why it needs to be there with incest or taboo i don't know. Wake up and recognise the 21st century and the modern world please!

Right, soapbox collapsing under my righteous bullshit!

Another pointless comment from me really, as I am sorry I can never ever see a reason why someone should legally have a gun. Just thought I should put that upfront.

The great bowing down to the American constitution and the right to bear arms. Can someone wiser just put me straight on something please. There is no definition on arms that I can see in the constitution. Armed obviously covers knifes and is currently taken to also cover guns, and because America is so sweetly modern and flexible, there seems to be no limit on what is seen as a gun. Just following this splendid twisted logic through, can someone explain to me what is to stop every smiley American citizen being armed with their own personal nuclear weapon, which surely is just another arm. Gosh, now there is a market to be exploited. Hey it is in the constitution! Oh please don't say that we in the rest of the world can't sell you them! You so generously gave them to the world and now we want to give them back to you, with interest. (I apologise to all those in Canada and Mexico for this suggestion!)

Topic: Royal Nurse Commits Suicide After Prank Radio Call
Posted: 10 Dec 2012 00:04

Oh gosh, what a stream of pomposity and ignorance, and as a specialist in both I can hardly resist it.

Sorry, but unless i have missed something none of us know why this woman committed suicide. Feeding on her death with pointless speculation seems a bit naff to me, but hey maybe that is the point of forums and why i normally don't go near them. Look on the bright side - there is bound to be someone somewhere currently monitoring web traffic about this incident and who knows you can become famous for your pompous ignorant but oh so well meaning waffling. Fact - none of us are happy that the nurse died but none of us actually know why. Why speculate?

Guilt? Well how about the UK for having a pointless Royalty; the rest of the world for wasting one second thinking about our royalty; Kate Middleton for not eating healthily enough to have some weight on her to have perhaps prevented her from having to go to hospital; Wills Windsor for impregnating her; the obscenity of having private health hospitals, of people charging large sums and profiting from illness; a worldwide media focussed on the vacuous lives of meaningless personalities; of a world of gormless voyeurs who are happier to feed on the meaningless stream of stories of gormless personalities rather than actually live a life and demand changes that would mean better lives for all; oh there you go, has that gone wide enough to blame everyone yet?

I fail to see what this wonderful stream of ignorance and pomposity, of rumour, speculation, and tittle-tattle, a debate worthy of a junior school playground (but obviously a posh one coz of the long words) adds anything to this personal tragedy. It is lovely that you can all take this so seriously and I admire you all for probably believing what you say. I just wish any of us knew what we were really talking about - but we don't. One nurse is dead (hey, you want really ignorant posturing, i will get my senile mother on here who was happily postulating yesterday that she had been poisoned as how do we know she wasn't. Oh and they are bound to cover it up if she was.) Sorry, but I think we should all just shut up and respect her death. Yes her death and this stream raises some significant questions about what a fucked up world we are, but pick a different subject to debate that, and steer away from this sad demise about which we can only speculate and which sorry it is so wrong to speculate about.

Oh, but i still want to have sex with all of you, possibly (laugh for fucks sake!).

Everything comes together eventually - part six

The phone by the bedside had hardly completed a ring before Ian picked it up - he'd been asleep since Beth had sunk into her slumbering depths, but it felt like his senses had been alert for the last few hours, his cock acting as look-out hoping desperately for some sign of love, lust, compliance ... god, basically just any hint of contact from the young body stretched out next to him. ...

Everything comes together eventually - part five

Ian woke up with a start - the slam of the front door downstairs had broken through the fog of alcohol in his head. He listened for a second to the sound of cupboards being opened, and running water. He relaxed as he remembered that his daughter Rickie and her friend Beth were staying the night, so that explained the rummaging downstairs. The fear that his wife Carole had returned...

Everything comes together eventually - part four

The morning broke abruptly as Ian's senses were abused seemingly all at once. Carole somehow managed to sound like a police drug raid breaking into the bedroom, torturing him with sunlight as she threw open the curtains. He groaned, rolled over and sunk his pounding head face down into the pillow. "Yeah, go on, hide under the covers you little shit. There's no cup of tea this morning, I...

Everything comes together eventually - part three

He went upstairs into their bedroom, and unsteadily stripped his clothes off before collapsing onto the bed. He still felt a bit weak and giddy, and tried to close his eyes to calm himself down. His pulse and beating heart began to slow and the pressure in his head lessened, as he felt himself beginning to drift away. The sound of the door opening snapped him out of his catnap along with...

Everything comes together eventually - part two

Ian came out of his stupor with a jerk. It was gone 5pm and Carole would be back from work any time now. He looked for the screen wipes to try and clear his smear off the screen and looked to see where else his cum had gone. He scooped up some junk mail and bills that had been in the firing line and now had soaked in stains on them, and them dumped straight in the pink recycling bag,...

Everything comes together eventually

Ahhh! How the hell had it come to this? Ian wracked his brains as the blonde beauty that was Julie slapped the back of his throat with her strap on that had two minutes ago been forcing its way up into what had been his virgin arse, while her partner (in crime) Jack slapped Ian's cheeks hard as he thrust his cock, which had been teasing Ian's molars a short while ago, into Ian's...
