Otherwise I'd have to go with Voyager. She survived being pulled into the Delta quadrant and god knows how many Borg attacks. The Stargate ships do have a big draw in that their hyper drive abilities allow them to travel between galaxies in a matter of weeks. Finding ZPM's to get that kind of power are a bitch though. Besides, the Voyager has a Holodeck! :)

As I do not have (nor have I ever had) cable, I was unaware of both John Stewart and Steven Colbert for many years. I think I began watching them on Hulu a few years ago and I must say that I am much more politically informed than I otherwise would be. A sad fact if I may say so.

The majority of topics covered and poked fun of by both shows rarely if ever make it onto usual local or national news shows, and when they are they are rarely reported on so thoroughly. It helps that, as comedians, they bring entertainment into the political reporting realm, keeping the interests of many that otherwise wouldn't watch.

I wonder what it was like in the old news days when I never would have learned what a Kardashian is, or that the Jersey Shore was nothing more than the New Jersey shoreline. And I wonder how it is that these things became "news worthy."

I'm 26 and still a virgin myself.

Yes, I consider myself a social outcast myself, and have never been great at talking with women. While I have had several dates (and many cancellations) I'm glad I didn't end up hastily loosing it to some woman I barely knew out of desperation.

In the past 6 months I've finally found a woman who cares about me for me, flaws and all, and I care for her just as deeply.

You may have days where you think the whole situation sucks, but just know, it does get better.

I will start off by saying I'm biased in that I work at a used book store, so I don't like e-readers for that reason. With all the newer bookstores going out of business recently we've already seen a decline in the number of new novels customers are bringing into the store. At least our histories are still as abundant as ever!

But I also love the feel of an actual book in my hand, and yes I'm also one of those that enjoys the smell of a new book. And I don't like how so many people are moving to digital books. I like knowing there are physical copies of things proliferated throughout the world.

Textbooks and Encyclopedias really are the only books I can think of more or less made to have digital forms as they're being constantly updated with new information as time goes by and we learn more about our world in general. But novels especially I think are meant to be enjoyed in paper form.

I fear a day may come when I'm old and gray and physical hard and paperback books will be so uncommon I'll have to buy a e-reader just to read new titles :(
