And Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Books are rubbish...I could barely make it through New Moon...the movie was just as bad...

I never got into those because I knew I wasn't the target market. I gave the first movie a chance but I just couldn't sink my teeth into it...

Nope, not today. But there's always 3 more games tomorrow where it could happen. evil4

Tomorrow's most anticipated game is Ivory Coast vs Portugal at 4pm. Also curious to see how Brazil does against North Korea.

My Predictions are 1-0 Portugal and 3-0 Brazil.

I was busy and didn't get to see any of 'em. So there were more own-goals made?

Not an own goal but the Paraguay keeper made a very poor attempt to clear the ball and the Italians took advantage.

I've read all the Stookie stackhouse books and they differ in certain places to the series so it was weird watching the firsts season(which I'm still watching on DVD)...Team Eric all the way...

good vampire books -Kresley Cole's Immortal after dark series are my favourite

Yeah, they do differ quite a bit. I like some of the changes but others are really annoying. I won't go into it so I won't spoil anything.

Forza Italia looked more like a bunch of cornudos out there today. Paraguay's goalie allows them to tie with a big mistake. Italy have New Zealand and Slovakia coming up, they should be able to advance easily. Then again they should have been able to beat Paraguay...

And I was glad Japan won too, Honda (I think it was Honda) had a nice calm finish.

As messed up as this is, I'm sort of impressed that these little bastards are organized enough to put something like this together. Usually 15 years olds are sitting around calling each other homos and playing video games.

Too bad Roth left the project, a lot of people don't like him but I enjoy his movies. I hope you're right about it not being a TV movie. I just don't see how that would work.

I just want to see how King changed the ending. In November, he said the screenplay's ending is different than the book's ending because he had received a lot of complaints about the book's ending.

Interesting, I'm really curious to see cell get made now. The ending wasn't horrible it's just that after the great beginning and middle the ending left me wanting a bit more.

Anyone watch the true blood premiere? Looks like it's going to be a good season! I didn't like all the Mana crap in the second season. This season is going to focus more on vampires and werewolves.

Do you know if Eli Roth is still set to direct Cell? Or was he just helping with the script? Cell was a good read, I didn't like the ending but it was still a good story.

Roth backed out of it a while ago. No word yet about his replacement.

So far the only thing I've heard is that it's going to TV. Fucked that one up IMO.

Last I heard, Dimension is still planning on it being a theatrical release. Haven't heard anything about it being a TV movie.

Not a convincing game from the Dutch but a win is a win is a win. Denmark isn't an easy team to beat, I heard they qualified out of a fairly tough group.

I hope we'll get to see a lot of goals in the Japan v Cameroon game.

I heard the horns are so loud people were saying it was like being in a loud club. They have to yell at the people sitting next to them to be heard.

Anyone else think it's odd seeing empty seats in the stadiums? This is the first cup I remeber seening where the stadiums aren't getting sold out.

Well yeah but not 4-0. Germany looked so good. They were supposed to be out of form but in true German style they came to win at the world cup.

Germany were supposed to be out of form? Maybe you should get better sources lol. I saw their friendly games prior to the tournament, they've definitely been growing as a tight unit and this easy victory over the elderly Aussies (who looked like a fricken retirement home!!) will make them even more confident.
Woe he who will encounter Germany in the knock-out phase!

I meant some of the key players in their domestic leagues. I guess I didn't make that clear.

At least I got to see a fairly exciting match. That judge's call was wrong, but it didn't make a difference anyway. I was really impressed how Germany saw a hole and took advantage of it (sorta like me http://www.lushstories.com/forum/upload/images/604-lush-laugh-yahootongue.gif ). They did impress me and I'll watch more of them in this Cup.

Those are the %$^&%$^#$% horns I've been complaining about, LadyX. Others are complaining to FIFA, too.

What match should be watched next?

I want to see Japan.

Are you talking about the red card? It was a little harsh but in the replay you see cahill kick him from behind too before the tackle. He could have broke his ankle.

Cameroon v Japan should be an interesting game. I pulled Cameroon in our work pool... I donated 30 bucks on that one.

Okay I have a question- why does it sound like a giant-ass swarm of mosquitos when I watch the world cup games? Its annoying.

It's those plastic horns the South Africans love so much. I heard FIFA was thinking about banning them. I agree, they are being overused. If they are used sparingly they add a nice atmosphere. But not the whole damn game.

Could mean your writing is morphing into some kind of ground-breaking-post-gender-genre.

Since my last post I have tried loads of writing in the damn thing and it don't seem that reliable to me. The only thing I have tried in it that has come out as strong male is some war reportage from the BBC.

I suppose erotic fiction is not the best thing to get conclusive male or female result from.

That's intersting, I never thought to put other writing in it. I ran all my stories in it and it seemed pretty consistant for me. Always weak male, weak female. I'm American too so it was even weirder that it thinks I might be European.

I wonder if Australia will be the next David to topple a Goliath. I hope the Aussies score early, it would make it a very interesting game. I'm really not interested in watching Germany spank the socceroos.

America! Fuck yeah! Coming to town to save the muthafucking day yeah!

That felt good. Horrible play by both teams but I'll take it. Another howler by an English keeper...

If England gets inspired they'll kick the shit out of the USA. However, if the USA team manages to frustrate the English throughout the game and disallow them from scoring we might get an upset result.
That would be the first of the tournament, which will happen sooner or later anyway.

I didn't have time to watch today's games so far. But from what I heard and saw in the highlights reels was that Greece was horribly anti-soccer again so good thing South Korea whipped their asses. I did see the Argentina goal and then headed back to do more work. When I finished up and went back to watch the game it was still 1-0 so I didn't miss much.

As one Dutch commentator said, we shouldn't expect great games in the group phase. Not until the quarter finals is when teams have had time to grow into the tournament and become a tighter unit on the field.

For tonight's game I'm gonna root for the USA, fuck yeah! hello1

Korea played great! Park came through in a big game again. I threw 10 bucks on them hahaha

And you're right, it's hard to predict the USA v England game. Could be 4-0 England, 1-0 USA, 0-0, 1-1. Neither would surprise me. Should be good no matter what.

I would take that bet, with the goal given. I feel either side will dominate; it won't be a close game. What's your opinion?

I think it will be close game. Maybe 1-0 either way. USA has been playing ok and England hasn't been convincing.
