I use too much and am working daily on using less. I am against it. We need to be weaned off it as a civilization. Not that I disagree, but, have you seen the price of Heating oil and propane this year. Not to even begin to discuss the cost of wasted green energy money spent over the last 5 years by the US Federal Government.I heat with wood, have my own water well, I grow my own veggies , fruits, nuts, beef , sheep, turkeys and chickens. I hunt for food not for so called sport. I collect rain water , over the year on average 4 thousand gallons.I am wondering if you care to share how u are working to use less oil and oil products, like plastic and food wrapping.
I'm against it. The economic benefits for the US are minor, except for certain narrow corporate interests. The tar sands oil is an environmental disaster in progress in Canada, and Keystone's safety and pipeline integrity reputation damaged. Any time I see someone post they are against Oil, I have to ask, do you currently use NONE?
Fellow Democrats press Obama to approve Keystone, following environmental report:environmental reportPublished February 01, 2014FoxNews.comFacebook799 Twitter705 LinkedIn6President Obama is facing increasing pressure from Senate Democrats to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline, following the release Friday of a State Department report that raised no major environmental concerns.“Today's Environmental Impact Statement confirms what Alaskans already know -- there are ways to safely and responsibly diversify our domestic energy supply,” said Sen. Mark Begich, D-Alaska. “Move this project forward.”Begich also said he will continue to “demand” that Obama approve the $7 billion pipeline project while reminding him that development in Alaska’s Arctic Ocean and National Petroleum Reserve is critical in securing the county’s energy independence from foreign countries. He was joined Friday by Louisiana Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu in calling on Obama to approve the project, proposed back in 2010.“This new study underscores what has been said all along about Keystone XL Pipeline: It’s time to build,” Landrieu said.Begich and Landrieu are in tough, 2014 re-election efforts in conservative-leaning, energy-producing states.“I urge the administration to act swiftly and give final approval so we can put people to work in these good-paying jobs right away,” said Landrieu, who like other Keystone supporters says the project will add tens of thousands of jobs to the U.S. economy."So is it time to build the remaining parts that the US Federal Government has blocked and get this sand oil into the World Economy?
The other day the UN published a piece that state in the Industrialized Nations 201.2 million people are unemployed. 92 Million of those people live in the USA.WTF is wrong with the USA that we have almost 1/2 of the Industrialized Nations unemployed?
I eat semen. " lady Xwell that is home grown.
0 percent. Total surrender of that fight in my household. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5Lu-7FIj_ghe also has a book by the name of square foot gardening that has some small container gardening with in it.
Do you depend on the labor of others to put food on your table or do you ranch/farm or grow any of it yourself. In the USA we are slowly depending on the work of others to feed the masses, with over 46,609,000 people on the public assistance program for every meal. I just wonder if we are really winning the fight.
Thank you all for your personal input, I am thankful for your insight.
