I am gay. It may be the most obvious thing about me but it is also the most important. It defines my worldview and has been the backdrop to life's most important experiences. I can diminish its impact to no greater extent than I can lessen the importance of any feature so inextricably linked to my sense of self. So rather than engage in something so fruitless, I choose to celebrate it. I am gay. I love men. I love everything about them. And when I close my eyes at night, I dream of being held in his strong arms, and the night wind that whistles through my open window becomes his gentle whisper, in tune with the beating of my heart.
