sadly, yes. The person doesn't know and I hope to god they don't find out. The person is already in a relationship but everyone can see it isn't going anywhere. I wished he'd open his damned eyes and see the truth laid out in front of him.

Lying is a safety mechanism for those that aren't ready to share something intimate/personal, feeling they will be judged harshly, or they think they did something unforgivable and don't want to be tossed away.

Of course relationships can come out of Lush. It just depends on if the people involved are wanting long-term or short-term.

My friend and I had known each other for about 11 years. One day we decided to give it a try and see how everything worked out. Obviously I had stronger feelings towards him than he did me. We dated for about 6 months before he eventually decided it was working for him. To this day we are still friends. Maybe not the best of friends but we still talk and hang out.
