Topic Bad Boys or Nice Guys?

If you define a bad boy as somebody who treats you poorly yes.
I have been called a bad boy for making a woman wet while she was at work. I guess I'm a horrid man who treats women like crap now....
I don't know if you are a bad boy - a player - or not. Calling you a bad boy in the context you described was teasing you back for teasing her.

Bad boys hold their allure when you are young, feeding rebellion. When you realize how badly they treat you and you grow up, they lose their attraction. Give me the nice guy every time.

Face. followed by tush.
Especially the eyes and mouth. And tush, yes. I could go on - broad shoulders, strong hands capable of being gentle. I do not like muscles so defined that he looks like an anatomy diagram.

"What fresh hell is this?" (Phone calls, emails, catching up after time off. With credit to Dorothy Parker. It is her phrase, not mine.)
Topic What is the most important "life lesson" you have learned?

There are three:
Nothing is forever, so enjoy the good while it lasts, and when things are bad remind yourself that it will pass.
You do not always have to respond or show how smart you are. Sometimes the best thing you can do is just be quiet and listen. You learn so much that way.
A sense of humour will get you through almost anything.

A private thank you would be the polite thing to do and appropriate. A public one might be too much to expect.

All of it. I hate it. It is lazy anywhere except in that context and I am not sure I like it even there.

I thought about giving something back to the community for all your efforts in finding bugs with my code. From now on, all worthy bugs (to be determined by me
) reported to me, the reporter will be issued a new a shiny Bug Slayer badge for your profile page.
Happy slaying.

Are they retroactive? I found an inconsistency for you a couple of days ago. I have to mention that you fixed it very quickly.

Looks around why do I think I fall into that category?
Thank-you for your kind words, I can't speak for everyone else that helps to moderate the site. However I can say this site is the best and at times we do have to work pretty hard (big shout out to the story verifying team) but it's a ton of fun at the same time.
Cheers!
Thank you everyone - including those who have thought about it, but not written. Unfortunately, people are sometimes more likely to voice issues rather than positive feedback.
We really try to be efficient and helpful while upholding the standards of quality and content for the site. Sometimes it is not easy, but it is always satisfying.

I love the lavender, lilac or pink peony from Perlier. All made from real flowers.
The Citrus Flowers from Yves Rocher is refreshing and great in the morning.

Hey Clum -
Something to add to the list when you get back to your punctuation/grammar lessons: the gerund.
I have noticed a spate of that verb form used alone in sentences, which makes them sentence fragments, as there is no active verb anywhere further along in the sentence.
I am looking forward to the primer beginning again.

“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.” Nora Ephron
Nora Ephron is one of my favourite writers. She was the author of several books and perhaps better known as the screenwriter of "When Harry Met Sally" , "Silkwood", "You've Got Mail", "Sleepless in Seattle" and, most recently, "Julie and Julia". There are several books written by her filled with wry observations about life as well as insightful ones. She was a role model for women, writers especially, and a source of wisdom for all.

I have to say that Mazza and Clum have put it well and I agree with what they said above. Like Clum I have had a few moments of being angry or self-doubt with a low score being given, but it the end, I write for myself, to express myself and to please no one else in particular. If readers relate to what I (and my collaborator with respect to stories) have written, that is positive. If some do not, it will not stop me from writing if I wish to or cause me to think less of myself or my ability.
Thank you both, Mazza and Clum, for putting this in proper perspective.
