It will be amended slightly, listing the metrics without a bit of an intro, is a little strange. The LHS needs justifying left better too (not that bit, the Latest Forum Posts, and Lush is a...bits).

It looks a little busy, we might ditch one of the stats.

To be completely honest, those statistic infos looks a bit too busy to me too. Actually I don't really like them on top of the page. Maybe just a liknk to stats if and where people can look at it? just my two cents
apart from that I think home page looks lovely

Is this a real thing or some internet prank compilation? that was serious question.
Song is awful, he has done way better than that, saying that eventhough I am not really fan of him. And those shaking scenes on motorbike are just ridiculous. This must have been her idea to show off her whatever she thinks she is showing off.

OK how about if I put it this way, Why do all you Flakes feel it's your duty to save the world? So you quit Whoop tee do. I don't need your help.Don't want your help & again don't give a rats ass. While I'M ranting, To all you religious rite to life fanatics out there. May the fetus you save grow up to be gay.

I know, I know, you need a hug simply because mommy didn't love you enough and daddy abused you, well NightMan, we all have childhood and past, but then we growed up and dealt with our issues. While you are bitching about religious folks and people who accomplished something in this case quit smoking, you are forgetting to see that you are exactly the same as those people you rant against, exactly the same, just blabbing from opposite point of view. I know, I know you are sad and lonely and you need a hug.

p.s.while your original question is quite interesting, you manage to turne this into something blah - there are tons of threads about religion, please do join.

From my experiance, when I quit smoking, I did tell everyone. I remember being extremely proud of myself. It happened over night (if I disregard at least one year negotiating with myself why should I quit). I also remember (it was 8 or so years ago) that I was counting hours..8, 17, 78, 142..heheh. I was proud and I wanted to share with people.
I didn't allowed my familly and friends to hide, to be solidary with me and not smoking, heck, next day after I quit we went partying with lots of alcohol, I needed to prove myself that old habit smoking and drinking won't jeopardise my decision.

There are reasons why people are trying to convert others, main one is support to others (even though in this case they weren't asking for any) and to tell them that if they could do it, every one else can do it as well. That is no big deal. And as it always goes, holes in comunications and understanding each other, doesn't allow us to clearly see everything what is going on around us.

I have changed my mind about this subject, I am doing that a lot lately..anyway, I was thinking, since I do not believe in institution of marriage, this virtual online thing is the only one I would agree to, but only if real sex would be on the menue, of course.

Definitely original. ..but than again I have a thing for husky in this case 'ish' voices. I didn't understand most of the lyrics, but is heartfelt and so emotional.
JT did okay job, I think, however his emotions that are coming trough I just cannot connect to the song. maybe a wee too much pathetic? However much respect for JT for doing this cover, maybe 0.1% of his fans would be curious enough and google original version and learn something new about the music and its heritages. Like I did today :)

edit: actually I fell in love with the original and Luke Kelly. I keep listening to the song. Thanks Stephanie!!

Topic What's Your Greatest Fear In Life?
Posted 10 Nov 2013 02:43

Losing my marbles.

Best answer ever, by far!

And I second it. Who are we, what are we if we don't have that sparkle in us that makes us fly. Without it we are uncapable of love, of compassion; we are unable to feel pain, sorrow or joy.. People come and go, people die and are born, but if are not capable to lit that sparkle in us, we are missing so much.

Topic Equal Rights

I agree with a lot you say and yes I am concerned about the welfare of the kids. I don't agree with bubble wrapping kids, they learn by experience but I believe in not making it harder than it already is. I also agree that some parents aren't fit to have children, in fact they see them as a source of income or a tool to use as leverage. Unfortunately nature doesn't take this into account and society is left to pick up the pieces.
I also agree that society is changing slowly but I don't agree with using children as an experiment, I'd rather wait until society is ready for adoption not force it on them.

You are using quite strong word there, experiment, would you care to elaborate that a bit? And while you at it, would you mind explaining to me how exactly do you think society does chanege?

With same sex parents there will always be a lack of maternal or paternal instincts, there is a lack of one type of role model for gender behaviour. Children learn this both consciously and subconsciously. There is an even greater problem if one of the children is the opposite sex to the parents, the parents have never experienced things that the child is.
Now all these are not insurmountable as can be demonstrated by lone parents but they would be placed in that position as opposed to finding themselves in it. However by far the biggest reason is the prejudice they are likely to face, from other children, parents and society in general. Until there's full acceptance that sexual orientation doesn't matter, it will always be the children who suffer.

I think I do understand what you are saying, and your post is concerne about children, and honestly I think you are speaking out of fear for them. But fear is still just fear.
Hear me out, because I do have great respect for little people and am concderned in general for the future generations. But to bubble children up, trying to protect them from outer world is not the right way. World is changing all the time and children should learn that from the start. There are tons of people who shouldn't have children at all (I really love to say; just because we can breed that doesn't mean we should) who really damaged little ones physicaly, emotionaly and mentaly.
Adoption laws are strict enough and there really is no reason why gey/lesbian couples shouldn't have a child. Believe me, you don't need to be a parent to have maternal instict, not at all. I am actually one of them. I don't nor do I want children, however I am around kids long enough to assure you that my maternal insticts are stonger than some parents have.
Society is changing and the only way to 'make' new generation with healthy open minded views is to provide them the opportunities where they can learn and experiance new and different from obsolescence.

Topic Which improvements or features would you like to see added?
Posted 28 Oct 2013 04:25

It would be useful, but it's not actually necessary...

What I usually do is just add a note at the top of the story, something like this:

If I've edited a story that's already posted...

**mods' note, please remove - all I've done here is fix a few typos and add a footnote. Thank you so much do taking the time, maz xx

Or, if I'm submitting it for the first time, maybe something like this...

**mods' note, please remove - I've submitted this story in the BDSM category, but I'm not sure that's the right place, please change or advise... Blah blah, whatever extra info is relevant..

It seems to work pretty well...

I love this idea! I am usually going back and forth with PMs, but this seems easier and more efficient. I think for moderators as well. Maybe we can get permanent To The Moderator's Note section while submitting? One santence 40 words tops, to avoid people write long paragraphs? I think this is brilliant Mazzathumbup
