I find intelligence very sexy. If I can not learn and grow from the person I am with, then I will not be with them very long. Intelligence is having an opinion, and being able to defend it logically....at least for me...I am very logical and respect and admire that trait in people...especially women. Intelligence is like a drug that I love to share...nothing better than great communication and respect...all part of what I consider intelligence.

my belief is that god and religion are man made creations. i mean after all we needed SOMETHING to explain volcanoes, lightning and thunder and other various things found in nature wayyy back in the day. then once we began to understand how these oh so scary things happen, and that god indeed, did not have anything to do with why lightning cracks thru the sky or way lava pours from the spouts of the earth we still needed god for one thing ~ to comfort us thru our fear of death. death is a scary thing and im sure it makes people feel better thinking that they can go to another place...body and clothes in tact...to hang out with friends and family members that have gone before us. of course its a ridiculous notion.
damon was right when he said juvenile, not mr nudie personally, but religion as a whole. we have used and twisted it over the millennia, using it to fit our own evil purposes, mostly for the sake of killing and abusing whomever we wish. religion is the most evil invention we, as a race, have ever thought of. i think as we evolve we will begin to slowly let go of our imaginary friend much like children do. We wont need him to comfort us thru death, or have his rules to make us behave well or even need him as an excuse to kill people...we can take responsibility for it ourselves. no more, "God made me do it!"
i do think there is something more though than just nothing. and i figure if men can make up allah and christ i can make up my own thing..i call it the universe and energy and ive assigned it the "she" pronoun just for fun. energy is real, and it flows thru us all and connects us on a level that we can feel but i dont think we truly understand. and it is not some conscious entity but a natural occurrence.
i believe thoughts are powerful and they will bring to you what you seek in life. if you think things are miserable then they are, if you think they are wonderful then that is what you will see. the bottom line for me is i dont think any one has any idea what "it" is, myself included. god, universe. energy, soul. prayers, good thoughts. but ill say i like my way better...sooo many less rules and constraints..never really understood why we have to put so many silly little rules on ourselves to feel good.
so, ill go along thinking my good thoughts and giving thanks to the 'universe' others of you can go along praying and giving thanks to "god". just pretty please keep your war mongering, homosexual bashing and women suppressing religions out of my perfectly ordered universe. thank you.
