I want to catch your gaze across
A room of other girls;
To earn a smile that’s just for me,
Your diamond amongst pearls.

I want to see your eyes just graze
The cotton of my dress -
Tenderness’s twinkling fun
Removing my distress.

I want to feel your warm, firm touch
That holds my heart so safe,
With no fear of Rejection’s cold
Or Scornful Mocking’s chafe.

I want to be your favourite toy,
The one that you like best;
The one you’ll cuddle, use lots, love,
Whilst playing or at rest.
