What is beauty?
Is it perfect features of a face?
A cute, little nose, luscious lips?
Maybe the soft arch of a woman’s back
or round, firm breasts?
Is it long, shiny hair cascading down?
Bright, twinkling eyes?
Is it perfectly shaped legs?
Flawless skin, glowing golden, kissed by the sun?
Or is beauty something else all together?
Could it be a kind and loving heart?
Passion and desire that radiate from the core?
Maybe the sharpness of your mind
or the laughter you share?
Is it being true and honest,
showing compassion and generosity?
Maybe standing up for yourself and others,
having integrity and loyalty?
Maybe true beauty can’t be seen with eyes at all?
I think it is seen with our hearts
and felt deep inside.
True beauty is like love,
it can’t be explained or defined from the outside,
we know it in our core.
Once you feel it, there is no doubt.
You know it, body, heart and soul.
What your eyes see, becomes nothing but pretty wrapping paper.
