And it touches the heart

A response is needed

My smile of approval

Is coming your way

It’s both verdant and vibrant

And it’s staying all day

When you look from afar

Never daring to dream

You read what they write

So striking, it's been

I ponder and think

Of what I may do

Of how to respond

And not turn them blue

My own humble scribbles

That speak of my thoughts

Inspired by the pleasure

The least of my ought

First comes the words

And then comes the whisper

The giving of kisses

With thanks to their mister

To sense that you smile

In the way that I do

Is a joy to behold
