You took me as your own.
I felt like I was home.
No drama, no lies.
Just feeling my internal cries.
I told you I needed pain.
So you bent me forward and used the cain.
Control was on your mind.
As you swatted my behind.
Should have told me it wouldn’t last.
Should of told me I was second class.
Should of warned me you were spineless.
Should have remembered the drama you cast.
As I move forward, I heed the warning signs.
No more will this Dragonfly be a fool.
To no man that is just a heel.
I know now I hold the power.
My passion will drive me forward.
As I leave a parting phrase.
To all the people my poem touches.
Never ever, trust a man that says he hates zoos!
