Is that a call? I stop my tread
I look behind, No, nothing there.
I turn full ‘round, within that pause.
Now revealed, but distant still,
You hover near, beyond my reach.
So I reflect. What do I discern?
“Reflection gives but altered form.”
Resolved to grasp direct at last,
I penetrate the mirror’s glare.
Peering past the Mercury,
Your dauntless voice rings through the mist,
Now clearer but in different garb.
Your call, conviction bears within:
Certainty – I breath it in.
Yearning, striving swell and mount.
Now, powers surge at my command.
By magic, Desire is my horse,
With wings that beat out melodies,
And on these sounds that form a path,
Distilled from old uncertainty,
Hope resolves the clouds of doubt.
Oppressive darkness melts away,
Its power dashed by inner light,
Revealing, well defined, the way.
The certain course is undismayed,
By memories of wayward jaunts,
It flows direct out from my heart,
Clear, unerring; and again your voice,
“Just come, I cannot lie to you.”
All now between thee and me,
Is but the substance of your day.
Refreshing draughts from purest springs,
And morsels way beyond your need.
Enrich your will, refresh your speech,
Give your eyes the power to bless.”
Your wisdom like a magic spice,
Transforms all worlds within my gaze,
Into a newer brighter sphere.
Light resolves to strands of gold,
As streams of life that underscore;
Symphonic threads weave playfully,
A tapestry of highest craft.
All past and future draw from here,
The rays of love that know not time, Purpose rises implicitly,
Love is will that knows its end.
What always was, you drew from me,
Birth is but perpetuity.
Abide with me forever more.
