Heartbroken and Forlorn

Heartbroken is as heartbroken does.
When you try to give someone your precious love.

They take it but then you are too soon to find.
The two of you just don’t have the same thing in mind.

Though the passion is addicting you crave it so.
You know it won’t last, it will eventually go.

When it leaves you the sadness runs so deep.
It is still such a shock all you can do is weep.

Especially when he disappears all at once.
Everything you thought you knew now you can’t trust.

All those old familiar places where he used to be.
He’s no longer there he is no where you can see.

His words stole your heart they were music to your ears.
Now the desperation you feel has confirmed your worst fears.

That it is a very real possibility you will never hear from him again.
When all you want to do is take care of him, all your love you would send.

The only thing that is certain is this void deep inside.
If you think about it too much all you will do is cry.

For all the lost dreams and hopes that you had.
You just can’t imagine how things ever went so bad.

Every time you thought it would all be alright.
Something unexpected happened and caused a fight.

A misunderstanding over something so dumb.
When all you want is for him to be the one.

You don’t understand why he said goodbye.
There is nothing you can do about it, your hands are tied.

You cannot see when you will ever stop feeling torn.
Because your heart is broken you are so very forlorn.
