I Want You, I Don't Need You

Tags: love, poems, want, need, lust
The pain of my days without that person I love. The person to make love to. But it's all just want.
Can't you see? All I want is that closeness

That hot presence you create

That horrible ache that makes me weak

That lust mixed with love

That drug I take that burrows into my heart and takes me away

Away to a place where my mind wanders

Where I go out and find everything I crave

You don't understand how my dreams fill with this need

Every night it seems more like a nightmare

You are in every corner of my mind

I'm sick about you

But I only want you

I don't need you

My ill mind fantasizes about your touch

Your voice in my ears

Your heartbeat against mine

Our lust crashing together

They told me this would happen

I didn't listen

I thought my magnetic pull to you was one I could control

But I'm barely on my feet

I feel like letting go and releasing myself to get you

I know it's harmful

But my body is tearing through the walls I've built up

My want grows stronger

I don't need you

I want you

It's more difficult than you will ever know

It's a curse not a blessing

To want someone this badly

I may release all my pent up passion well

But the pain afterwards of the end is what kills me

You may console me telling me everything is fine

But my heart hates my mind for letting go

My release of inner want makes for great moments

But the after math of my addiction is one of nothingness

This addiction to the body is my weakness
