The eyes can fool the heart sometimes
When we look to hard
For what our soul is searching for
From the day we are born.

Some spend their lives in the shadows hold
To scared to face the fire
Fearing that they shall never find
Their souls greatest desire.

Some jump before their time arrives
Not listening to the fates
And end up feeling the loneliness
That comes from love turned hate.

Its then that they give up the fight
They cower beneath the waves
That cause the pain of a broken heart
To flow through all their days.

Then there are the few that continue on
To search for love that’s true
That listen to their souls lost song
