More Than Words Can Express
By kay_s
These memories mean more than words can express
Timeless pieces that we can reflect on
Photos in frames
Holding all of our memories
The memories we have created
Movie stubs from our first date
Concert tickets and backstage passes from our second date
Shells from our trip to the beach, symbolizing our third date
To some, these symbols are meaningless
To me, they mean more than words can express
Photos of me at my weakest point
Sitting through every medical test
Being poked and prodded
Trying to find out what was wrong
Photos that you want to keep
To show how far I have come
To show how much we have grown together
To some, these photos are meaningless
To me, they mean more than words can express
Every day I look down at my left hand
Specifically, the ring finger
I see the ring you designed
The 14K white gold 2 Carat ring
I am transported to the day where I walked down the aisle towards you as your fiancé
Exchanged vows and said ‘I Do’
Returning up the aisle beside you as your wife
To some, being married doesn’t mean much
To me, it means more than words can express
One year later I sit here placing our next memory in a frame
The sonogram I was given today
Showing the baby we have created
The baby we have longed for
We are finally ready to move on to the next step in our lives
A step that we are blessed and honored to be making
A step that is rewarding in so many ways
To some, many of these memories that we have created won’t mean much
To me, they mean more than words can express
