No Room

you take everything

You overwhelm me

with your need

as you pull me too close

and steal my breath with your lips.

Your hands tear at my body

as I moan for your love.

That mouth...

oh my god.

that mouth sucks my breasts

as if to drain them of life.

The entrance you crave is wet

in spite of all efforts

because I need you

and hate that need at the same time.

You slide through the folds

with hard and biting strokes

to prove to me

that there is no one else....

no. one. else.

My orgasm crashes through me

and I weep.

You leave me breathless

with no means of regaining

the simplest necessity.

There is no room between us,

my dearest enemy.

You have taken all there is

and there is no room for me.

If need is so great as to render us without our own play space, there can be no life-affirming meaning. So we become a walking self-contradiction/enemy. A telling poem.

Sugah you did it again. You always do such a good job of conveying compex emotions and allowing the reader to feel with you. Read it twice for full appreciation.

Miss Laura you ruin me, you know that? I wish I could write half as well as you when it comes to things like this... and please don't get me started on how well you put a voice to your work!!! And I know that need, that hate of that need and the feeling of having no room left, of being pushed outside of yourself!

A wonderful, insightful piece as ever Miss Laura ... 5

Your voice always gives me shivers, in a very good way. It adds such a wonderful dimension to the poem, the feelings are so tangible. I just want to listen over and over again. I love the "my dearest enemy" bit, it's so simple yet so complicated. I love it all.

such a complex powerful expression of need, passion, longing, struggle and of being overwhelmed by the taking and the giving to your "dearest enemy." you writing is so direct and open.

Even sitting at my desk at the office surrounded by a thousand and one distractions, reading this took me to places unimaginable...it took my breath away. Listening to it simply confirmed the depth of meaning. Beautiful.

Just to point out, I don't mean you nicked the poem! I just mean... I know know what I mean. He stole your room!

I almost want to call this "Thief" in my head.

A wonderful piece, lovely lass, and it is enhanced even more by hearing your awesome accent read it! I find a great poem can be even greater by hearing where the poet places their actual emphasis, rather than me trying to assume where it is. It gives it another dimension.
