Setting a love free.
Real freedom and real love is a realization of knowing
You can not hold someone without restraining yourself

Even only a strand of the thinnest thread
Still holds you to the other bound

Feeling that, if broken, allows the other to flee
Is only a fear that they may never again be held

Finally acknowledging that this can only be achieved
Through the severing of the last remaining strand

Worry no longer that your love may disappear for all time
But hope that they will return and relax again in your palm

Slice through that last remaining filament
Watch the other as they depart for places unknown

Knowing that both have been released from the limits set
One and the other now have been fully liberated

Feeling the return of souls set free as they nestle in a hand
Both souls now can truly be attuned without any boundaries

Real freedom and real love are a paradox you see
Without slicing that last filament neither can truly be

Thanks Dave. Thoughts similar to Johnathon Seagull and something my wife told me about "... letting someone for whom you care deeply to fly away. When that person returns to you, you know the relationship is meant to be."
