Skylark (for Lainey)

Attending to the flight of song
I thought to instruct the birds--
now, wings bowed and bound
I'm sinking in the diminishment

I don't know what I like more in this poem, softens of it, melancholic emotions or how you expressed yourself so I can feel it. Lovely.

I'm sinking in the diminishment of a skylark's lonny tune. <-- I liked that.

Poignant and touching. A little drop of enchantment for me too.

funny, i was just re-reading your poems last night, lamenting that it had been a while (and noticing that there were a few i still need to leave comments on!) and today... happy sigh such a teaser, a small view into the world of your words, but such a delightful view and a joyous one. As Sisters said, a beautiful cornucopia.
