Tango with The Devil
Poison has entered this loving heart..
Disbelief to what she saw...
How can one be so blinded for the signs.
Rocked between darkness and light.
A dark entity has invaded,
Spreading its acids.
Threats, intimidation, accusations,
Covered in declarations of love...
Or is it resurrecting from within?
Was it already there,
In slumber waiting to attack...
Just when she admits she has been fooled,
Trying to get rid of this poison,
This glue she was repaired with.
All these months her love and faith,
Blinded her for that force of destruction,
Deafened her for the voices from within.
Since at times she was strong enough for both...
Brief moments of light love & recognition.
Feelings of loss, anger, hurt,
Are followed by shame...
Shame for her need to belong,
Shame she ignored the warning signs,
Shame she danced with the devil,
And misses it...
She needs to heal herself,
This darkness is not hers...
Yet is still pumps inside her, though
Each day she will gain in strength,
She will be washed,
Washed by her own clean tears.
Tears that will take this acid out,
Make it evaporate to dust.
She forgot the many attempts to mutiny.
The mind a willing ally to make forget
The pain, signs and shock.
Ignored since she wanted to see the right...
She wanted to love the good..
How many times was her heart tempted,
Thinking it was her...
Her guilt and self-doubt
Made her bend in impossible ways, flexible.
Love resurrected and kept her strong,
All signs from the soul deeply tugged away..
She could not be fooled.
She needed to believe his words...
It was her doubt, her force,
She punished herself instead.
She was offered the moon,
Yet she knew the price would be too high.
Evil in disguise?
Or good taken over by bad,,,?
He appealed to her darkness.
Lurked from it,
Pushed her boundaries,
Provoked her, seduced her dark side
Her knees shaked but she never bowed...
Sometimes when the beast was tired..
She saw his inner gold...
Thinking she could save him...
Now when the struggle is still hard,
The top to reach, far and high,
She sees the light and knows,.
That she can only truly save herself...
